Looks very good!
The old handle on this case was plastic and the parts holding the pins in the hinge broke so I had to find a replacement. I am very happy with this replacement handle. It appears to be sturdier than the original was and there was a backing piece included so screws wont pull through from the inside. The color of the handle and the metal pieces match the case very well. One small snag, for my application I had to shorten the mounting screws but; with a dremel tool that was soon taken care of and the handle was on.

Great looking
Really good looking, doesn’t look cheep like others. Nice feel. The screws are short for what I use them for (will not fit through 1/2 plywood.) They could sell in lots of 3-5 for a better price but I will keep using the for my boxes.

Handle was just what I needed
This handle was exactly what I needed to replace the broken handle of my baritone case. As the photo shows I had to cut the lining to access the inside of the case and put the long washer behind the lining. I then glued it back in place. The screws were a little too long so I used a hack saw to cut off 1/4”.

bolts don't work; flimsy
The little bolts that are supposed to hold the handle in place cannot be screwed into the threaded holes. They bind. Tried 6 different phillips bits. Threading may be different; feels that way. Metal is flimsy, especially the thin little bars that are supposed go between the bolt heads and the suitcase interior. The handle may be leather, but I have my doubts. If you rub real leather hard until your fingers and it are warm, then take a whiff of it, it will smell like leather. This has no odor - like vinyl. I gave it a 3 because I want more people to read this review and save their money. Worthless to the max. Instant return.

Brittle mounting fasteners.
The threaded screw holes on the underside of metal mounting hinge plates that receive the fastening screws are made of soft brass alloy which strips and cracks apart easily. I would not rely on them to hold any case even for the lightest laptop or hat box. They should have been made of stronger material to serve their intended purpose.

Not the easiest diy, but a good quality handle
Replacement handles for an instrument case. Drilling and fitting took some effort. It's been worth it.

Incredibly weak handle.
The handle broke off the carrying case when I lifted it up. It looks like it’s made out of metal on the inside, but it is not. It’s plastic, and it breaks super easily.

Cheap materials poor quality
I bought this for a saxophone case that I built, and it hardly took two months before this handle came apart. First, one of the screws that held the handle in place came out and the remaining side snapped at the cheap plastic ring, holding on only by the fake leather. The handle is all just held together by weak glue, even the "stitching" is just a strip of vinyl glued across the top for cosmetics.
