I programmed my PIC with it.
I purchased one of those other PICKIT 3 programmers from some other supplier. That other one didn't work. This one worked first time. If you're looking for a PICKIT3-like programmer then this one worked for me.

The item does not match the listing title
I purchased this item to reprogram chips on an industrial machine. It worked for my needs but there was no documentation with the tool. The listing for this product is also incorrect.

The programmer is good but the ZIF board isn't.
The programmer itself works fine with MPLAB X 5.45 and 6.00 even under Linux. The ZIF adapter board however isn't wired correctly for PIC24FJ devices regardless of jumper settings. I spent days figuring this out and in the end just wired up a breadboard.
