I love everything about it. My kids do too.
I adore this book. If I didn't buy it for my kids, I'd probably have purchased it for myself. What I love about this book most is that Mo Willems wrote it. Seriously. He just doesn't disappoint and he's such a fantastic storyteller and artist. As an adult with a strong affection for good childrens' stories, I can't express enough how important it is to me that books encourage children to fill in the blanks with their imaginations. I have to be careful saying that, because I don't want to indicate that there is anything missing. Rather, I think a really good book will ignite the momentum for their imaginations to keep rolling, while the story is going, but also long after it is over! What I like most about this book is the snark. Simply put, it's just really funny. Even if you've come to love Mo Willems' writing like I have, you still won't be able to predict what happens next because the story has a life of its own. The three dinosaurs (LOVE the +1 special guest dino...hahaha) are devious and little Goldilocks is so naughty and careless. It seems like our kids really are censored, especially when you compare the stories they read now, to stories that were told LONG ago that were often created to teach kids lessons about the dangerous world they lived in. This book follows suit and has its own morals to teach, but does so in such a hilarious manner.I'm trying to write an essay and I'm really not sure why. I think that I should never review Willem's books here because most of the time my answer is just "I just love it. I love everything about it." My kids are 3 and 6, and my 3rd "child" is 31. We all love this story!! SO glad we ventured out our very happy home in the world of Knuffle Bunny, Pigeon, Elephant, and Piggie. We still love them- they're our favorites, but we have room in our bookshelf for many more favorites if they're anything like this!!

You'll laugh and love Mo's New BOOK!
Recently, Mo Willems released a new book - Goldilocks and the Three Dinoasaurs. It does not involve his usual cast of characters (pig, elephant, or pigeon). Instead a little toe-head and three dinosaurs are the stars. However, if you look closely at the illustrations you may see Pigeon on at least three pages (go ahead, play I Spy)... Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs text are also much different than Mo Willems' usual text. This story does not include talking bubbles. So you are in for a little change if you were expecting something similar to some of his other stories...However, my daughter (age 6), son (age 9), and myself (age 37?) loved the book! It still screams Mo, with the humor and illustrations. It's a spoof on the Goldilocks and the Three Bears Tale. Mo has an entirely different version involving three tricky (so they think) Dinosaurs. The Dinosaurs in the story (Momma, Papa, and "some other dinosaur visiting from Norway") must have read the original Goldilocks story and were hoping to set up their home in hopes of enjoying a little blonde girl for a "succulent" treat. Do they succeed or is Goldilocks smart enough to figure out their plan? You will enjoy reading this story to find out! It's a perfect read aloud. Some of the humor will not be gotten by the Prek-1st crowd, but if they don't get it, you will get it and enjoy it! The kiddos love the story and the illustrations. It would be fun to compare and contrast the original story to Mo's story. My 9 year old got the humor and enjoyed the story very much. This is definitely on a must have for read aloud time. Mo Willems is such an awesome Children's author and is quickly becoming a favorite in my home and in many classrooms.

You'll love reading this to children!
A 5 year old told me about this book and I got excited and purchased it (I'm a preschool teacher). I was not disappointed, it was better than I expected! Glad to add it to my dino's & fairy tale collections.

I LAUGHED OUT LOUD
We are huge MO Willems fans here and this book was a hilarious twist to the old classic. When I first read it I laughed out loud! Such clever writing. My 4 year old son loves this book as well and often picks it as our bedtime story.

Highly recommended.
Some 'alternative' versions of Goldilocks and the Three Bears leave me cold but this picture book was humorously written and captivated my child's interest from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Excellent addition to your library!
Wonderful take on the traditional tale. Adults will love it more than the children! We loved spotting the Pigeon from Mo Willem's other stories in amongst the illustrations!
