Ove this scale. Unlikeany other scales I've purchased, this one actually keeps ita charge between uses and is easy to recharge instead of trying to find the right size of battery. We measured pretty small amounts for medical reasons and the it's spot on.

The 6.3 by 9 inch size is great for weighing typical quantities of kitchen ingredients. For larger items, just set a large bowl on the scale and put the large item in the bowl. This kitchen scale can measure in English or Metric system units (no conversions necessary), and weights are measured to 1 gram or 1/10 ounce. So, it is as sensitive as scales with much less capacity, but it can weigh a large turkey easily. The brushed stainless steel surface is durable, and easy to clean. The design is sleek. Operation is intuitive: one button for on/off, one button for tare (zero), and one button to switch between grams, Kg, or pounds/ounces. The display has large numbers that are backlit (blue) so it is easy to read even in low light. This is my first kitchen scale, and I use it for baking primarily, measuring ingredients and dividing dough into portions. Easy to use, accurate enough, a large enough surface for any bowl, and definitely faster to use than measuring cups. I assume it is more accurate to use weight vs. volume. I like that I use fewer utensils. Easy to clean. Also rechargeable, although I haven’t tried that. Recommend for someone looking for an inexpensive scale. Does not measure micro amounts like spices, the minimum is 2 GM I believe.

This was a replacement for my KD-8000 that I've had for at least 10 years. It started becoming unreliable due to constant changing weight (weight fluctuates and is never the same) but learned to live and work with it by constantly changing batteries until I just got tired. I still have it though. After reading reviews, I've decided to buy this one. It's very space efficient, light and easy to care for. I've used it now for about a month. I noticed that it does fluctuate too, but that I've learned that when it does, it's time to charge. As long as it is fully charged, I have no problems. I just put a plastic film on top of the scale so I don't have to scratch the surface. So far so good.

Has paid for itself since its purchase of less than a month ago. Facebook marketplace has recently opened up fee free shipping offers through the end of 2020 and my wife and I decided that we would take advantage of that to reach more potential buyers. The problem with that plan is, without knowing exactly what something weighs, packaged up and ready to ship, you can run into a lot of problems with stating that shipping will be $3.50 and ends up being $12, for example, not a really good business model. I did a little bit of research and between other reviews, the slimness of this unit and the weight capacity that it held, this seemed to be the best choice for me and we have not shot ourselves in the foot since our purchase of this scale. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking to buy a postage style scale.
