Instructions are poor. Application Menus are poor at best. I have used many disk wipe applications. I tested this on my old Dell Travel laptop before I would use it on my primary Laptops to wipe and e-cycle. Very clunky, it appeared to wipe the drive. following the on screen instructions, it appeared to complete and prompted me to press 0 and remove the usb so it would not be wiped. Doing so the laptop rebooted to my windows desktop complete with all info and wiped the usb. It is now un-usable. I could have easily mis-read the instructions as they are sparse and poorly written. Somewhere around here I have an old DOD Disk wipe CD. Clunky but at least it was consistent and worked. I will be hunting for it!

When asked to 'Clean' a computer, this better than a hammer. You do need th know how to boot from the USB drive. If you need mil spec security, this is it!

Works as Advertised. Must carefully watch the instructional video on the Amazon page. My first two attempts failed because I skipped a step. The wipe process is fairly quick.

I had 2 old laptops I wanted to trash/recycle so I needed to wipe their hard drives. Both were Gateway brands. One had Windows XP and the other Windows 7 operating systems. Ad said this Flash Drive would work for me. I tried multiple attempts per instructions but never could get it to work as advertised. I ended up finding a method to erase the hard drive on the Windows 7 unit without an external device. The other succumbed to a hammer.

It works very well and I would recommend it anyone who wants to use an eraser.

Verify the system as id did not work at all on my computer.

I liked how compact it was and I used it to erase HDD on wife's computer as it was running very slow and fixed the problem.
