Q: Why are the wheat color so much cheaper? Are they true Vionic and do they have the same arch support?

These Vionic boots have good arch support. Wore them for several hours walking around this weekend (first time wearing them), no problems. I did find that they ran a half size small. I exchanged them for a half size up (9.5 vs 9, M width). The reason the price varies by color is because the product description page covers many sellers who have their own pricing. My original size 9s in black leather came from Designer Shoes and Fashions. I returned them and ordered 9.5 in chocolate leather, which came from Walking Comfort. Q: Do these stretch with wear?

I did not keep them long enough to find out- returned them- the ankle is so wide at the top, the boot was not attractive with cropped pants, etc.

Q: How tall are these? How high up the ankle do they go and is there any cushion against the shin bone?

They go over the ankle bone and are comfortable.
