The media could not be loaded. I bought this Heartland carset/carrier when my lup was 6.5 pounds. He is now 9 lbs. This seat is super spacious.HEARTLAND recently designed a cushion for the seat. The cushion definitely provides comfort for my pup.So much so that my pup was trying to lay on the cushion before I even put it in the seat. Normally my pup sits in the seat but now he jumps right in and lays down (so i would say he thinks it comfortable too).The seat features several pockets to carry anything you might need for your pet. I carry water dish,water,toys etc. I love that the seat doubles as a carrier. I have used that feature as well and it is great.The safety hook on the inside is a plus. The safety strap has just enough room to allow the dog some movement while providing safety.PROS1. This new cushion is awesome. My pup Kylo loves it, he jumps right in and gets comfortable. The cushion is not bulky at all it just the right size,fit,and comfort level. With the spaciousness and cushion this seat/carrier allows for very nice,comfortable ride.2. SpaciousThis seat/carrier has ample space. My pup can move around change positions with ease.3. This product surprised me with how amazing it ended up being, and it's going to be invaluable to us.My little girl has separation/isolation anxiety. We are currently working on it with great success but in the meantime we can't let her have panic attacks alone as it will set us back. Therefore she comes with us in the car ALOT (Someone just stays in the car with her) and she loves car rides.This is the perfect little caddy to hold all her stuff, and more importantly hold her. She seems very comfortable in it and it seems quite secure. I personally added a piece of foam padding to the bottom but that's just because she's elderly and has bad joints.She's about 13 pounds so I was worried about her fitting inside but I'm happy to say she's nice and comfy. Able to turn easily and lay down. I don't think the carrier option is a good idea for her because of her size, but that's on us because of the weight limit and we understood it wouldn't be going into it and don't need it.Yippee! We can have our girl ride along without worry now.

I have a small puppy and got this for him in the car. He is still adjusting to using a car seat, but I have noticed the few times we have used it the front part is more flimsy. It’s good quality but just a little less support in the front. It looks good though.

I love how well-constructed this dog carrier is. The canvas seems very durable. I prefer this fabric construction much more than the usual hard plastic carriers that I've used in the past. It is much more comfortable to use. And I like that I can secure my pet in the car so easily. There's tons of storage options with all the pockets. I'm glad I made this purchase! And there's no worries with the Lifetime Replacement the seller offers. (It's not often that you see that anymore.)

This absolutely the best doggie bag, dog carrier I’ve had for my dog. I’ve bought 2 now. He sleeps in it when we aren’t traveling. He’s been in it since he was 1 months old and now he’s 2 years old. It’s large. Has pockets of different sizes. 2 handles that are comfortable for my shoulder. It zips up but gives him plenty of breathing space and vision space. We absolutely love this bag. I can’t say enough about it!

update - 12/23had this for two and a half years now and it's totally broken apart. still an awesome car seat, and the price is great, but we have never used it as a dog carrier at all - it's always been in the car - and the bottom has completely separated from the sides, so I would not use this as a carrier, as that's kind of concerning...original review: (2021)this is great as a car seat for my 12 pound maltipoo. I would not use it as a carrier as one of the straps on mine has already torn and I have not been carrying it at all (so how did it already break, one wonders if has never been used....?)the hook inside to attach to the dog's harness is way too short, so I am using a harness on my dog attached to another "over the headrest" seat hook (also found on Amazon) to allow my dog more room to move, but he loves the car seat and I love all the pockets to put his stuff in. It's definitely not pretty, but is super convenient and works well for us. arrives packaged flat, which worried me in terms of whether it would be sturdy once zipped together, but we have been using it for six months now and no problems with the sides breaking down. I also put a small dog bed in the bottom of it for comfort and to boost my dog up a bit.

This works great as a car seat because it occupies most of the depth of the seat (less wasted space, more room) compared to others that are long but narrow. However, I would not carry my 11 lb dog in this, because it's the zipper that is holding the shape of the bag (You receive a flat piece and you zip it to make it into a square)

The media could not be loaded. I love it. Perfect size for my new baby. Lots of storage for all our stuff. Easy to use in the car and I even use it in the house. I lay it on it's back wall, unzip the top and roll it up out of the way (using the really cool velcro tab) and my puppy uses as a nap spot/toy depot I see this bag being with us for a long time Quite versatile. Shoulder strap and shorter top handles make it easy to carry anywhere.
