They are egg shaped, about the size of a woman's palm - 2 l/2 to 3" across and about 3 1/2 to 4" long. By being tapered, the large part works the forehead and cheeks and the smaller part work around the nose and eye area. Don't overlook the neck when exfoliating; regular use has kept the waddle away from my neck. I have used these for 40 years and they exfoliate the delicate facial skin without overdoing it and help diminish the wrinkles. I am 77 years old and get compliments on my complexion often.

Q: what are they made of? Looking for a thin loofah type

It's made by 3M and it is a finely woven polyester sponge. I've used for over 25 years and like the Gentle version the best. I use it 1-2 times a day. First thing with morning shower. In Summer, I use it again at night. Use light pressure in a rotating motion all over face and neck. I find loofahs are too rough on face and neck areas.
