Possibly, like many people looking at this item for the Game Cube, I'm a massive Zelda fan, and I really wanted to play Windwaker again. However plugging the console into a giant flat screen TV simply did not work - the picture was awful, fuzzy and almost unplayable. But this little plug and play device really has revived the game. The colours and lines are crisp, Links expressive face is crystal clear and mostly the game is an absolute joy to play again. So - you need a Game Cube with a digital output (two outputs on the back) This little device plugs into the digital one and the supplied HDMI runs from from the device to your telly. the whole thing does stick out beyond the carry handle, which I thought would have been the boundary but hey. There is also a remote to fine tune the image. this has come in handy but quite frankly it looks super fine straight out of the box. I know you can get emulators etc but where is the fun in that? The Game Cube is such a sweet little console it really does deserve to be brought back to life so you can replay your favourite games and this little little fella makes that magic happen I've attached a picture not of the item - there's plenty of those for you to see anyway, but of the quality of the image you will get once you plug this item in!!

Brilliant works amazing on the gamecube

Great product, I used a hdmi converter with the original cables and the picture wasn’t great. Pictures is a lot picture and clear now.

You can adjust the picture so it has scanlines, and that makes it look like you're playing on a flat VCR from 2005. The main issue I had is playing Star Wars Rogue Leader, which has a lot of cinematics. The unit would swap picture output each time a cinematic started, but it would have a delay of 0.5s-1s where there would be no picture. This happened over and over on this game specifically, but not on any other games, like Fzero or Mario Sunshine. It also happens when you first launch the gamecube, on the rolling cube screen, but that is negligible. It has a great picture, not as nice as an emulated conversion obviously, but probably the best picture taht can be afforded on the gamecube itself. It's also much cheaper than competitors. One major issue is I think it puts a lot of strain on the Digital AV socket. It's not that light and it has no support. The competitor's more expensive item goes into both Digital and Analogue slots to make it more secure.

Couldn't have asked for a better product, would definitely recommend to anybody wanting to play some GC titles. Also its plu &Play which is perfect for a technophobe like myself.

If your GameCube has a digital video port and you’re using a modern TV this makes a HUGE difference to the image quality over the standard composite cable. Mine seems to work just fine without the included USB power cable connected, getting its power from HDMI or the digital port making for a much neater setup.

An absolute must buy purchase if you own a GameCube, tried OSSC with the best scart you can buy but still had a very blurry picture. Not with this, sharp as can be and doesn't need powered. One hdmi lead and you are away.

一言で言って、本当によい買い物ができました。 いろいろ微調整ができますが、D端子出力プラグに差して起動すれば、特に調整も必要なく本当にキレイに出力されます。 D端子出力なので、ゲームキューブのプログレッシブ出力も可能になり、プログレッシブ出力に対応しているタイトルであればより鮮明に。 もはやD端子入力プラグのないテレビばかりになってしまいましたが、これがあればHDMIを介してプログレッシブ出力が可能になるので、D端子プラグ付きの古いテレビを持ち続けたり、わざわざ買う必要はないですし、 中古でも高くなってしまっている、任天堂公式ゲームキューブD端子ケーブルを買うよりは、もしかしたら、本製品のお値段は張りますが、総合的には、お求めやすい金額で済むかもしれません。 注意点としては、本製品は、本体型番DOL-001のみ対応なので、後発の本体型番だと非対応のようです。 お手持ちのゲームキューブ本体に記載されている型番を確認の上、お求めいただければと思います。 ともかく、キレイな画面で俄然プレイモチベーションが上がって、ガチャフォースがはかどっています！

Je me suis remis récemment à jouer à ma Gamecube, et cet adaptateur me sauve la vie. La console est utilisable sur une télé moderne, et l'image reste plutôt jolie sur ma télé Samsung. Pas besoin de galérer à sortir la télé cathodique du placard avec les câbles multicolores dans tous les sens. Un câble HDMI et c'est réglé ! Il y a plusieurs façons de bidouiller le rendu à son goût via la télécommande, pour ma part j'aime bien augmenter un poil la saturation et le contraste.

This device makes the image of the GameCube look awesome. Make sure you have a GameCube that has the digital output. Plugs right in and works great. It has a remote for making fine adjustments and resolution changes if necessary. Only downfall is that it’s a bit pricey, but cheaper and easier than any internal kits that are available.
