These days it's become more difficult to find new replacement floppy drives. I wish this one had been in white but otherwise it was what I needed to get an old computer that required using a bootup disk to work again. It wasn't overpriced either. Other sites wanted well over $100 for NOS drives.

I needed to use old utilities to fix a problem on newer computer which did not have floppy drive. It occasionally would lock up in mid operation with "unrecognizable media" error. Re-inserting disk or different disk does not correct problem. Letting it sit idle for a while or restarting computer fixes it (for a while). May be circuity overheat problem, but it is external to the case in 70 degree F ambient. Same problem on two computers. With patience it did get the job done.

My floppy disc drive blew out on my Technics piano model SX-PR600. I had no idea they were still making these in 2024. Thank you so much it works very well, and saved me the headache on trying to find someone to fix it.
