How to connect 01 speaker to Alexa Echo 2nd Generation? Actually, first you must to open the speaker bluetooth , then from the Alexia app, settings, Alexia Echo, Correction: From Alexia app, Settings, Device Settings, Echo, Bluetooth Devices, Add device. Worked just fine.

Q: Is this speaker compatible with Alexa?

Yes it is I use it with mine and the sound quality is brilliant.

Q: Does this turn off if not used for a while. Reason for question is use has difficulties using hands to keep switching back on.

I'm sorry to say that the unit has an auto off feature. The on/off switch needs depressing for about 3 seconds in order to pair up on restart.
