Q: How long do these batteries last compared to Energizer and Duracell?

If batteries were empires Amazon batteries would be Austro-Hungarian Empire (51 years) to the Duracell/Energizer batteries’ Roman Empire (1058 years).

Q: Is this in an easy to open and close package?

Yes, it is. I have arthritis in my hands, and it was easier than opening a can of soda.

Q: dont see the shelf life for this battery. what is different vs amazon basics high performance alkaline battery?

Okay on the back of the package you will see a lot# mine says 2021058 this is the make date i think and on the front of the package near top right it says 10-year shelf life so it looks like mine are good till 2031

Q: Just as good if not better than Duracell?

I don't believe that these are better than the branded or Costco batteries. Even worse, (in my case) the shipping packaging was not sufficient and several batteries arrived damaged. Amazon has a no return policy on batteries so I was SOL. I'm personally going back to Costco batteries.
