Q: Why did the clear plastic turn pink in the dishwasher? This is a new as I have been using a large set for 3 years and this has never happened before.

I don't know why that should happen, unless you stored food such as beets or other red foods in it before washing in the dishwasher. I never put this set in the dishwasher as I think the strong dishwashing soaps are hard on them. I would suggest you email the. Rubbermaid company. They will probably replace the container.
