Q: What’s the difference between the “replacement” and the original?

My Airsense 10 only came with a 110 volt power supply. This was just fine at home, but when camping in our trailer when not plugged in (dry camping), we only had 12 volt power. As this is a cigarette type (or 12 volt) adapter, and with two deep cycle batteries, this allows me to use my Airsense through the night with no issues.

Q: Will this work with a portable power source like a Jackery?

If your generator has a 12 volt outlet, like in many cars, yes, it will work fine. The Resmed power unit runs on 12 volts and by means of a built-in inverter, provides the required 24 volts required to run your device. I use one on our boat and it works just like the 120 volt ac charger at home.

If you have a good size deep cycle 12 volt battery you can easily run your c pap with humidity etc for 3 to 4 "8" hour nights. I have done this several times camping. You will also need a good battery charger to top off your battery.
