Fun game
My 9-year-old son & 10-year-old daughter both said they love this game. My daughter likes playing as the characters. My son likes using magic. I LOVE not having to find batteries for a clicker! My son used a wand and the Kinect recognized his arm movement. The game is kind of short. The kids got to level 7 within about 3 hours. They didn't beat the last challenge. Would have been cool if Xbox made a game for each year.

We reached a scene where you needed to fight off ...
We reached a scene where you needed to fight off Voldemort by holding out your hands and it WOULDN'T let us move forward. We tried different people, lighting, movements.... None of our other Kinect games have given us any problems recognizing motions...disappointing...

kids love it, good family fun
if it's too hot outside, too cold or too rainy, this works when the kids just need something special to distract them. they are delighted when we adults jump in. Love the goblin roller coaster the best. For a kids video game this is fun :) prob. prefer a real roller coaster, but it is way too hot out there to stand in line for 1.5 fours to ride for 30 seconds.

Short game but still fun.
As many review said, this is a short game. I finished it in about 2-3 hours in the casual difficulty. There are also some extra "classes"/games to play, which is not included in this 2-3 hours. The graphics of the game is fantastic. The storyline is clear and all from the movies/books. Though, as I said it's short, there are many more exciting part in the movies/books which is not in this game. There were some little flaws in the games that sometimes I don't know what I was supposed to do or I tried very hard but don't know why I cannot hit the troll, etc.

Worthwhile at a Discount
Very scripted compared to other Kinect games where you can more easily choose different mini-games in addition to being able to progress through the main story line. Here you can go back and repeat various mini-games after competing them once, but you can't do something like decide to play Quidditch and play through a few different levels easily. If it were just the inflexibility, and I were 20 years younger, I'd give it a four, but I also found it to be a little more geared toward the kids than I would have liked, hence the 3 stars. I suppose this is to be expected since the book series was targeted at younger readers, but the series has a decent adult following as well which the game doesn't target as well.

Not good unless you are 10.
I'm really disappointed. The only reason this game would be fun is if you were 10 years old. It is extremely short and repetitive. The graphics are good unless you try to put your face into it; the first time I was a black blob and the second time my friend was a red blob. I have a hard time getting the sensor to read my motions right but it doesn't matter. I can manage to get through each year in about 10-15 minutes- it's really short. There is no story or plot to tie everything together, and the multi player is just disappointing. All the movements are really repetitive and it gets old quick. Quidditch isn't even fun all you do is lean left or right to follow the trail. BORING.As an adult Harry Potter fan I am extremely disappointed. My friend is returning her copy and not even bothering after watching me play. Just downright awful.

Dreams do come true
Pretend to be Harry Potter? Uh yeah I think so! Best game ever invented in all of life! The riding of the broom is kind of nauseating but that's only cuz I haven't learned to drive stick yet. It follows suit of the movie graphics are good too. Would recommend this game to anyone who wants to make their lives a little better through magic
