Q: Does this drone have the gps so you can program a flight plan? Does it also have the return home program? is this one recomended for first time buyers

A total easy to fly, and not get overwhelmed by something designed to fly to 8500' (Mfg. specs) type of 4K HD digital aerial photography drone. Taking Pics and vids are a snap, stored on SD card. It has a GPS Hold Position as a Default, you have to move a stick to move it (even in wind). If you hit the Return Home toggle it will climb to say 30' or so and return to about 10 feet in front of you and land perfectly, then power down automatically. This Q500 does not have any programmable Flight path, GPS waypoints etc. It does have the Follow Me, it follows you (LOL) and the Watch Me, it watches you... and think both are used then. Have fun !
