It's not medicated. I also learned It's not really layer feed but scratch grains. Big difference.

Q: Why is all livestock feed on here on the average $23 higher on amazon vs locally bought?

It is a farm supplier with better ingredients

Q: why is it so much money for 40 lbs any sane person can mix ther own for pennies of this

Living in suburbia 1. I am not that knowledgeable to mix and provide the proper nutrition, 2. there aren't place I'm aware of that I can purchase bulk items near my location or could ask about, 3. I don't have space to store in bulk of all the different ingredients. I did ferment the feed to make it go further and it is supposed to be more digestible and healthy. It is too much money. I use a regular layer feed as well.
