Great desk. Solid construction, highly adjustable and excellent price.
Overall impressions: Great purchase at this price point. Desk arrived with no damage. Was easy to assemble. Sturdier than expected with a lot of easy adjustments to make it work in many situations.Assembly: Package was undamaged. I laid it out on the floor and spread all the parts out except the top which stayed on the cardboard. Everything was labeled very well and, quite frankly, there were not a lot of pieces. It took me under an hour with only the tools they provided and a screwdriver. I noticed that the edges of the melamine table top were protected by plastics corner pieces from the factory. I think this was a key move. Nothing had to be forced together.Fit and finish: The desk assembled and came out super sturdy. It seems bigger than I was expecting. The whole time you assembled you really felt that someone had thought this out and when it was together it looked and felt that way. It is not the most beautiful thing in the world but it works and does not feel cheap or like it is going to break.Features: The tilt function has about 9 stops on it and supports both ends of the table. Pencil tray is deep. Having the fixed portion is convenient for many reasons the main being that things that are prone to slide (lights, laptop, phone) can sit there undisturbed. It also helps define working space. There are no casters on this desk but the foot pads are large, they adjust and they pivot. Way better than cheap plastic casters that make things unstable.Adjustability: This desk can easily be adjusted to 4 heights with some very nice bolts with a hand adjustment head on them. The range of settings allow you to go from a standard office chair up to a stool- with increments in between.

Fantastic drawing desk
I have recently been very dissapointed with a couple purchases from Amazon, so when I ordered this desk i was skeptical. I am recently returning to my love of art and drawing. I am tired of just about everything on TV and video games but drawing i can get lost in for hours and never tire of.The selling points of this desk for me was the size and it looked pretty sturdy. i received the desk, opened the box and put it together. The directions were easy to follow pictograms and all the parts were numbered on baggies and present. It came with a small allen wrench and stamped metal end wrench, so if you don't have any "real" tools these will do in a pinch. After assembly i noted that the desk is rock solid steady and borders on being over-built. The desk top ratcheting mechanism is made of steel and easy to use. When you adjust the top you are reassured of the sound of steel ratcheting and not some hokey plastic mechanism. The level shelf area to the right is good for a pencilcarousel, sharpener, manikin or small laptop or tablet etc. I went to target and bought a Sterilite 3 drawer organizer to go under the right side of the desk and a small waste basket under the left side back of the desk. On Amazon I bought a sStudio Design swing arm lamp to go with the desk. If you buy that lamp i highly recommend buying the metal lamp clampFrom HHP for about 15 bucks. The clamp that comes with the lamp will not allow you to position it to the left or right swing at an angle when the desk top is inclined. If you are looking for a good solid drawing desk at a great price and appreciate sturdy furniture, look no further!

Sturdy, attractive, functional but difficult to adjust height.
My husband put this workstation together and it wasn't difficult, just took an hour or so.It is an attractive desk and very sturdy. We did have a couple of issues, one being the hardware that adjusts the top angle was not correct. We believe one phone call and picture to the manufacturer will remedy the issue. The second issue was a slight chip on the edge of the stationary side, also a phone call. They said they would send the items in the next couple of days, we shall see. However I do want to mention that adjusting the height of the entire table is at least a two person job, in our opinion. Luckily I don't think this will be a huge problem for me, but for someone who will need to adjust height frequently, might want to look for another option. As long as I get my parts I stick by my 4 star rating. Would have given a 5 star rating if it weren't for the height adjustment issue.

but here I am writing this one because I absolutely LOVE this table
I have never written an Amazon review before in the many many years I've been a patron, but here I am writing this one because I absolutely LOVE this table. It's really sturdy and the table top is heavy to keep it steady. The legs are actually quite light because they're hollow, but they are super strong. I bought this because I wanted a table that had a part I could raise (to use like an easel for painting) and a part that remained flat, and this really fit the bill perfectly. I also love that it's height adjustable, and easy to do so. I have it at the highest notch which means I can use it simultaneously with a studio chair or as a standing desk. I got the 36" version which is plenty big for my needs. Whatever material they used to coat the table feels nice (not totally smooth; has a fine but non-obstrusive tooth to it) and is easy to clean. The only 2 small gripes I have with it are that 1) I wish the small flat part of the table on the right side were just a little bit bigger. I have a 15" computer that has to be angled sharply to fit there while I have the rest of the table tilted up. and 2) the little pencil/pen rack is great when the table is flat, but it's attached to the main tabletop so when you tilt the tabletop up, the rack rotates back and causes my pencils to sometimes roll out and onto the ground. Seems it would've been a better design choice to attach the pencil rack to the table frame somehow. All in all though, I really really love this desk. It has held up for a solid year and a half of work and an interstate move.
