This really works!
I had the other device that requires you to flip the red lever. I kept shutting off the vacuum unintentionally. It broke. I thought I'd try this one instead. Genius! the push button is easy to use and it does not turn off if you change the position of your hand. Easy to install and it seems sturdier than the other one.

In-genius! Best 3rd Party accessory for the V11!!!
I love Dyson Vacuums, but why they didn't create a way to lock the trigger on their v11 is beyond me! Thankfully, this company figured out a solution that works flawlessly. The trigger lock slides easily on the trigger. with a flick of the finger you can turn your vacuum on (and keep it on) and with another flick, turn it off. The vacuum is still comfortable to hold while it is in place, and it is easy to remove should you want to go back to the trigger mode. It is so useful to be able to keep the vacuum on without holding the button - especially when using the hose attachments/cleaning your car/using other attachments like the drill dust collector this company makes. So glad to have found this! This little piece of plastic changes my vacuuming game!

Works pretty well on my Dyson V6
We like our Dyson V6 but your finger gets tired holding the trigger the whole time you are vacuuming. This trigger lock really helps. The lock slides on easily. You can install it in seconds. Just press the side to hold the trigger down. Press the other side to release. I couple of minor issues. Unless you have small hands, there is no place to place your index finger because the trigger is in the way. You just have to rest your finder on the trigger lock. The other issue is that sometimes the lock will slide forward and release the trigger. You just have to push it back. It is held on by friction. I'm hoping that won't be an issue down the road.

Essential, given the trigger design flaw on many Dyson vacs
This trigger lock for Dyson vacuums is great. There's a design flaw with the trigger on the vacuum, where if you apply too much pressure while holding it down a weak point in the trigger itself breaks, causing the vacuum to partially function, if at all. This trigger lock installs very easily, activates even easier, and seems to depress the trigger just enough that it should not break the trigger. Perfect little device that the OEM should have provided in the first place.

Too bulky unless you have small hands. Too easy to accidently engage.
Right after purchasing a Dyson V10 I went looking for a solution to the vacuum's lack of an "always on" option. It makes no sense. (I guess they're doing all they can to get people to save battery power.) I want to keep my arm and hand relaxed and barely grip the vacuum. This is the first aftermarket trigger lock I tried. Three different sized adults came to the same conclusions: The Good: The mechanism works well and seems like it would hold up to a lot of use. It fits tight and doesn't slip. (On the other hand, it's tight enough that it would be a pain to repeatedly install and remove. ) It's still fairly easy to quickly operate it in a trigger-like way by clicking the button back and forth. The Bad: First, the space in the grip for your three fingers is already narrow and adding the trigger lock makes it even tighter. The lock also doesn't give a comfortable place for the index finger to rest. Second, the button is perhaps too easy to engage, especially while trying to carry the vacuum by the grip from one room to the next. We removed the lock and ordered a different design to try. (That one isn't perfect either, but it's better for us and good enough to keep using.) I think it would be fine for somebody with small hands and can get used to not accidently pressing the button.

Not comfortable
It works to keep the trigger depressed, but it isn’t comfortable! If you look at the picture you can see it digging into my finger. There is another spot on my finger that is not visible but it’s poking my finger there as well. You can see that there isn’t enough room to place all your fingers below the trigger. I saw a review that said it was comfortable, but not in my opinion. I should have sent it back but I don’t usually do that for inexpensive purchases. I convinced myself I might use it if my finger was injured or arthritic.

SUPER helpful
I have RA. My hands kill me if held in the same grip for too long. This has relieved the stress on my hand tremendously!
