High quality
These are high quality book covers. I collect books and some of my books are handled a lot. Putting these covers on books is easy. I would advise purchasing a “bone” to make the crease on the top folded part of the cover sharp. You can use a wood or metal ruler to make the crease too. I tape down the folded part of the cover to the paper backing only. I don’t tape the cover to the book itself unless you have archival tape. One of my past jobs was to cover books in a library. For me it’s easy to use these covers but it’s not difficult to do. You should use a flat, smooth table where you can spread the cover out completely. Make sure that the book cover is completely slid down to the bottom of the plastic protective cover and the white backing doesn’t show on the bottom of the cover. The white backing can be folded to just below the book cover. Then the plastic cover can be folded over the top of the original book cover and then be creased with the “bone” tool.

Excellent for beginners
I have a special fondness for older hardback books. My personal favorites are horrors with fun dust jackets. Many of these are no longer in print, and it can be tricky to locate copies in good condition. I have amassed enough of them that I decided I needed to protect them. There are a multitude of Brodart products, but these are the ones I went with, due to the fact they are archival-quality. (What can I say, I’m protective of my scary stories.) I’ve wrapped about 5-6 titles so far, and even my very first attempt came out looking quite good! (The photo I am including is one of my more recent coverings.) I would say they’re beginner-friendly, based on my own experience. I love how the sheets are large enough for my bigger hardbacks, but can be folded down for smaller books. It’s probably common enough knowledge at this point, but I’m going to reiterate that anyone else wanting to do this should definitely also pick up a bone folder, or similar. It will make your creases much more crisp. I’ve purchased about three rolls, and the seller is extremely fast and courteous, as well. This whole practice is so relaxing to me, I find myself wishing I could be hired at the local library just to cover their books.....

Good
These are good. I bought these to protect some of my more rare editions and these worked pretty well. I wish the instructions had been a bit more clear and they had been a little easier to use.

Preserve nice hardcover books with jackets
These are those nice high quality clear plastic covers you find at libraries on hardcover volumes to keep the paper dust jacket from getting ripped or lost. I use them on mid size books and even larger textbooks. I like hardcover books but the paper dust jackets drive me nuts how they shift around during reading, but I also prefer the art on the jacket so don't want to remove it. So this is a great solution. They are easy to use and make a clean tight fit, although it may take a couple tries if you haven't done it before. Watch a few videos online to get the hang of it and then you'll be a pro. Just need scissors and maybe a little masking tape.

Just OK
These book covers are OK. They're doing their job, but they were kind of a hassle to put on the books.

Perfect for dust jackets
I love these and it’s my second time ordering them to protect the dust jackets for my hardcover books. If you like the book covers to be protected then orders these. Very easy to use and adjust to the size you need. My only issue is that I have trouble keeping the cover straight but that’s not a product problem. Also, wish it came in a bigger quantity because 5 is just not enough sometimes.

Excellent !
I had several older larger size hardcover books and wanted something to protect their dust jackets. These fit the book covers perfectly and are of high quality. Very pleased with the purchase and will definitely purchase products from this seller in the future.
