Failed battery
Battery is TOTALLY DEAD after 8 months .It was only used 3 times for a total of 6 hours and no longer charges :(

Way to save a GPS
This kit came with everything needed to do the repair to my GPSs battery. Unfortunately for me a dead battery wasn't the only problem with my GPS. Following instructions, care and common sense were necessary components of the repair process, but you will have to provide those yourself. If you will, then most people should have no trouble replacing your device's battery with this kit.

This battery last less then 2 month. Says 1 year warranty yet I can't return it.
The write up said guaranteed for a year and it last 2 months. Yet I can't return to amazon say only 30 days.

As the headline says, the biggest piece of the puzzle is knowing where to insert the "splitter" once you have the screws out. I reused the existing double-sided sticky pad to secure the new battery in the housing, it peeled off the old battery relatively easily. Charged properly, correct result.

Great Replacement
The replacement battery is slightly larger than the OEM, but it did fit with a little pressure applied, being careful not to damage the wiring. The Garmin GPS works much longer on battery power alone than it did with the original battery, even when it was new.

May need a T5 torx driver.
Good kit but you may need a T5 torx driver it comes with a T4. Really a nice kit. My Garmin would not power up and this battery fixed that problem.
