Great low profile design!
This is a rock solid power supply with a great low profile design, easy to reach terminals, and offers stable delivery of power to my radio's. This is the second PSV-300 in my ham shack and a reliable accessory on my bench.

Great for Mobile HAM Radios
Rated at 13.8, but when tested it gives 13.9-14, using this to power a mobile quad band HAM radio as a base station and it is approx 2 feet away from the radio and I get no noise from this power supply. I used my HT while on a HAM net to test and with the antenna right on the power supply got no interference from it. I tried other power supplies, but this one was the best. My radio can go up to 50W and the power supply handles it like a champ. I would def recommend this power supply to others. When powered on it is silent, when I turn on my radio I hear the fan turn on, but still pretty silent, when I tested that it could handle all the power settings on my radio the fan would start to run faster as I pulled more power, but even at max it is still pretty quiet. You can hear the fan, but it is not overly noisy. When used for an hour straight the case was still cool and the radio was a little warm. I am happy with this power supply and if I need another I would get another one of these.EDIT: I rearranged my ham area and now the pyramid is behind my radio and since moving it I still get no interference, I tried max watts on my radio and it Didn’t get warm, the fan ran no louder then when using 10W so still very happy buying this, after trying a few others before I wish I just had spent the extra money and bought this one, an internal(not for outdoors) power supply had the save rate with variable voltage preset to 12.1 and even setting it to 13.8 it even couldn’t handle 5 watts.

Just what was needed
This is an effective 13.8v 30a power supply. No extra bells and whistles, just power. The 30 amp capacity is especially appreciated!

Good deal, fine unit--unless you're a top-bander
This power supply was purchased to power an Icom mobile 2 meter rig used as a base station. After I'd made the purchase, I read some online reviews elsewhere on the Web that complained about RFI from this unit and so was a little concerned about the quality of the filtering. Once it arrived and I hooked it up, however, I found that I did not encounter any problems with hum or switching noise except when operating a nearby receiver on frequencies under 2 MHz, where there was a significant whine. I'd would have rated it five stars except for this problem. A snap-on ferrite core RFI filter on the power cord might help but I haven't experimented with this yet since the switching noise is not an issue in my shack except for when I'm listening to a ballgame on the AM broadcast band, in which case I don't really need the 2 meter rig going anyway. To sum up: if you work the 160 meter band a lot, the PSV300 would not be the best choice. For anyone else, it's a fine, reasonably-priced little power supply that will fill your 12 volt needs quite nicely.73, KJ6BSOSeptember 2011: After using this power supply for two years, I discovered a weakness--the power switch started getting wonky about six months ago. Asking around, I found that other people have had the same problem. Replacing the switch isn't difficult if you're handy with electronics but could be dangerous for those who aren't so you may want to keep that in mind if you're considering a purchase of this power supply.

Works well
I have been happy with this product over the 4 years I have owned it. I have not noticed problematic acoustic or RF noise. I have used it indoors and have not had an issue with overheating when powering a 20 watt mobile radio.

Great power supply for the price!
Bought this to be able to bench test car audio equipment. Plenty of power and works very well. Voltage is constant and more than enough amps for my use.
