Great info
The information is bit sized and placed in sections. I like the exercises and wish for an updated book with links to the videos. The plans are great, but I wish there was something for after you race.

Great book! Expertly written with accurate info! Good value for price!
It took two orders to get it here, but Amazon honored my purchase and sent the replacement OVERNIGHT! Thanks Amazon! I haven’t read it yet, but skimming it it seems like a GREAT way to get me back into running. Training makes sense (as someone who used to be an ultra marathon runner before several severe injuries). It sounds like something I can do that will work well. I’m excited to have this book. Going to get a high lighter and highlight the routines and exercises as I try them. It has warm up and cool down exercises too! Great value for the price!

Concise
This is a good review of running and how to prevent injury. Has good illustrations of the exercises. Also has sound advice.

A good book to map your training for new runners.
My adult grandson asked for a book to help him in his new sport of running. He rated the book highly saying it gave him plenty of tips to improve his performance and personal goals. He doesn't want to compete but the book gave him personal running goals and is helping him map his running plans and meet his goals. He spoke quite highly of this book.

Very helpful!
I’m 2 weeks in to the novices plan and have already seen some improvements with my running. I’m prone to injury when running, so the strength training and stretching has been extremely helpful. I haven’t had any pain running since starting this.

An easy-to-read/follow guide without long self-indulgent text!
I’ve been running for a while now, but am never really sure I’m using correct form and technique. After I injured my periformis, I should have bought a book like this, but I powered through, and it took 2 years to heal right as I kept re-injuring it—not good.I’m really glad I ordered this book. It’s easy to follow. The different category chapters are bright and energetic. The illustrations are as well—I appreciated those not being boring black and white.I was a trainer for years and know a lot about form but running is just different. Different sports/exercise often needs different training, and this book will help me to stop injuring myself, or having those weird uncomfortable neck/shoulder pain runners can get. It’ll be specific training and educational form that will enhance my running experience—and make it more effective, and make it safer. There are enough guides and tips; there is a schedule at the end of the book; there’s the illustrations with instructions. What there isn’t is a lot of long boring self-indulgent text that I have to wade through to get to the basic fundamentals of what I need, but, it’s still personable to read—I like that. This book is inviting me to educate myself. It’ll also be a refresher for things I’ve forgotten from my personal training certification classes I had many years ago. There is a lot of repetition - like in stretches and exercises they book explains the same ones several times; not a big deal but I wondered if that space in the book could have held new information.

Easy To Read
Great starter guide for a new runner. I'm 70yo and just started running a couple years ago. Instructions here help in warm up and challenges as you progress/
