Q: Does the pump's chrome exterior peel/flake off (happened with another one I had)?

I ordered this soap dispenser June 2022. We use this in the kitchen many times daily with Dawn dishwashing liquid. It works fine. No peeling of the chrome part of the dispenser has occurred.

Q: Does it work with lotion?

I can't answer since I am only using this container for liquid soap. I am not sure that a thick lotion would be easy to dispense from a rather narrow opening. However, I most appreciate that the dispenser is so easy to refill. It is because of that feature that I purchased two.

Q: I received this dispenser & i cannot get it open! twist top does not budge. i have tried everything, even soaked in water for 30 min. any advice?

I can't remember how it opened because I decided this dispenser did not sit securely on the sink where I intended to place it. I feared there was a risk if it fell it would break.
