Product feels sturdy and tough, but National Products Inc told me it would fit my Samsung Galaxy S4 phone and IT DOESN'T!
I gotta give this thing some props because the case feels really sturdy and watertight. Right outta the bag it feels like some industrial strength workmanship, kinda like a Pelican case if you've ever worked with those. The mount is metal (painted black) and both elbow sections tighten securely with one heavy duty screw between them. When tightened, I am satisfied with how rigid it becomes. It's a bit heavy for those trying to save weight on a road bike so I wouldn't recommend it for that, but it would probably go well on a motorcycle. The membrane on the face of the unit is pliable but feels thick and tough, and if it were any wider I would probably have no problem using it with my Samsung Galaxy S4 because it sticks to the screen well, providing for easy screen access. Unfortunately, the medium aqua box DOES NOT FIT a phone that large. I called National Products Inc specifically to help figure out a size, they told me the B149Z would fit perfectly even inside its own case.... and the truth is it doesn't even fit without one. I wouldn't even try a Galaxy SIII on it since they're pretty much the same size. The screen membrane barely fits over the phone and has to stretch considerably around the sides. This leaves little room around the sides of the case frame and forces the membrane to sit awkwardly when the case is closed. I tried a number of padding/insert combinations, none seemed to work to my satisfaction. Because of this, the seal does not close well.On the other hand (aside from the poor fit) this thing would probably work very well for an iPhone or something else of a comparable size. Hence the 4 star review. I'm a bit disappointed about the fit, but the review is about the product, which is well designed and made of quality materials.I will be returning this, and (for water resistant/proof applications) will be looking into the Tigra BikeConsole and Annex QuadLock systems when those hit the shelves. These systems are as of yet unavailable for the GS4 (JUL 2013). The RocForm system also looks good but they don't have a water resistant option yet, and even then, it's a rather expensive alternative.

Still on the Fence About This One........
Overall I can say that this item is good. Mounting it to the handlebars of my bike was easy and it stayed rock solid and in-place throughout 1100 miles of riding over a long weekend. The only problem I had with this was that my Zune seemed to overheat while inside. The solution to the problem might be to use one of the thinner foam pads included with the RAM-B-149Z-AQ2U in order to open up some space inside and let the Zune "breathe" better. As far as the water-tightness of the RAM-B-149Z-AQ2U, it did rain a fair amount on us over Labor Day weekend and I cannot say I noticed even a hint of moisture inside, so as far as protecting electronic gear I think this delivers on its' waterproof claims. So the plan is to revisit this review after trying out one, or both, of the thinner foam pads inside the RAM-B-149Z-AQ2U to see how the Zune performs and post the results. For now though, I think an iPod, a SmartPhone, or a Zune with a solid-state drive in it would work fine using the thicker of the three foam pads, which is how I originally had the RAM-B-149Z-AQ2U configured at the start of our road trip.

Galaxy S3 doesn't fit without modifications. If your phone ...
Galaxy S3 doesn't fit without modifications. If your phone is naked(no case), you will have to make some relief cuts in the rubber for the power and volume switch. This also mean you can not plug in a charger cable either. If you have a thin case you will have to make long relief cuts in the rubber for full width of the case.Besides the problems listed above, its a well built part.

This does not do what it is supposed to
I chose this to mount iPhone on bike handle bar so as to be accessible. The mount is not ventilated, and appears to magnify heat in the enclosure, leads to iPhone shutting down due to overheating, not goodTHe transparent skin, I had understood was there to enable you to manage touch screen devices, such as iPhone. It does not. I cannot get any touch commands to work at all. It is of no use for an iPhone, the sole purpose I had purchased.Worst product I purchased from Amazon. it has no other purpose so was basically a waste of money. Will not be recommending these products nor buying anything from RAM at this point in time :(

Not for Droid Razr
Yes the Droid Razr will fit in there. Tightly! Razr's power switch is on the side. As soon as you close the door it shuts off. Some one clever would have to do a little dremel modification to make this work ok with the droid razr.

Good quality
Bought two of these and use them on my motorcycles. Great quality, and a good way of protecting your phone or gps while riding.

Not for Nexus 5
Greate Case, but it doesn't fit the Nexus 5. The power button would be pressed against the side and power off the phone.
