Noisy Dinosaurs (My First)

This is a great little book. It features five dinosaurs, each with a couple facts and a textured area that you press on to hear that dinosaur's roar. You have to press firmly in the middle of each area to trigger the sound, so if you have a little one like my 15 month who loves this book, it will take a little time to master. Probably the reason the book is recommended for ages 3 and up. I also love that you can replace the batteries (3 x 1.5V AG10) so the book isn't trash when they run out like some other books I have. The battery compartment is on the back of the book and can be opened with a small screwdriver. The holes that the speaker plays through are also on the back of the book, so the sound will be somewhat muffled if they are covered. Dinosaurs and textures are as follows: Tyrannosaurus Rex - metallic scales (can also be accessed through hole in front cover) Stegosaurus - corrugated cardboard Pterodactyl - nappy felt Diplodocus - imitation leather Triceratops - mirrored dots All dinosaurs together (a sounds play in sequence) - no texture, just a circle containing a musical note I'll definitely be buying the other books in this serious based on this purchase.

My two year old loves this book! He has the Noisy Farm Animal one and it's about done for, as he's read through and played the sounds so many times! These Noisy books are some of good favorite to choose as his bedtime story! Even my daughter (3 years) has read through this one several times now. As parents, we love the educational books and toys, but it's always great when the child loves it too! It keeps then engaged with learning! These are made well and last a long while in little hands!

My 1 1/2 year old son loves this book. He loves to look at the pictures and have us press the buttons to play the dinosaur sounds. The buttons are a little difficult for him to push right now since he is still very little, but he places our finger over the button for us to push them for him. The first book that I received did not work but I was able to send it back for an exchange at no extra cost to me.

My grandson LOVES this book SO MUCH that the pages started to break down and the wires became exposed. I have just purchased a replacement for him. The pages have colorful pleasing pictures of the dinosaurs and their surroundings, the textured surfaces for touching vary nicely and the sounds are GREAT! Wish there were more pages, but that didn't seem to bother my grandson one bit! I have also purchased the remaining books in the series, but I'm sure this one will remain his very favorite. The only negative comment I have to make is that the buttons in his first copy, that I purchased at Costco, required quite a bit of effort to trigger a sound. This is not so in the replacement book or in the Noisy Baby Animals, Noisy Trucks and Noisy Farm books I purchased here at Amazon, so if you get stuck with a "bad" copy, you might want to call Amazon to request an exchange!

Great quality book that grasps and keeps our toddlers attention much better than others. Pages are thick and will not be easily torn out of book. The buttons for sound could be a bit more sensitive, but it’s great having them for the sound effects. Kids under 18 months may have a hard time activating the sound buttons,but that gives a great reason for Mommy and Daddy to Help! Hightly reccomend for those Dino fans!

It’s a very cute book. I bought it to entertain our 18 month old on a road trip. He does love this book but he cannot push the buttons himself. Mostly because the area to push for sound is so big and the button hidden in that area is so little that he never pushes in the exact spot required. Most of the areas to push are fabric areas but there is one that is like corrugated cardboard and I wonder how long that one will hold up. The cardboard button is the one area he cannot push at all even if he does push in the right spot as it is a tough, unforgiving material. Even still, I do recommend this book and will consider other similar books from this publisher.

I like to get books for my 1.5 yr old daughter that are not too gender specific. She loves this book. She enjoys pressing the buttons and hearing the different noises. It’s definitely one we would recommend for both boys and girls.

Purchased this for my Fiancé’s Cousins sons first birthday and he loved it so much he started making the dinosaur noises. It was awesome! I love reading my self and hope that this will start him on the road to reading as well. This book is well put together, story is cute for small child and has touch and feel portions along with buttons for the sounds . Was impressed by the quality. Thank you !
