Rhode Island Novelty Magic Growing Animal Capsule, One Dozen per Order

A major Disappointment! I ordered this product expecting 144 pieces. Instead i received 1 card for a total of 12 pieces. The worst part is, I have to return the one card that was sent in order to get a refund, and order more of these elsewhere, it is just quite an inconvenience and will be a let down to my son as these are his favorite bath toys!

I used these as an object lesson for my children's church lesson and the kids LOVED them! I had the table set up ahead of time with each kids name, a cup, and a capsule. We used these as "sponges" as how to get and keep a soft heart. I brought a pitcher of hot water, and let the kids carefully drop their capsules in their cups once I poured the water in them as I explained that the water was a picture of God's Word. The kids really enjoyed watching their animals emerge and it kept their attention while they learned. The kids age ranges were from 5-8 and it was perfect. I had the kids set their animal on a paper towel by their name so they could dry while I finished the rest of the lesson, and when our time was up, I had baggies prepared for them to bring them home. Not one kid forgot! Definitely something I'm going to do with the next group of kids.

i am a science teacher and ordered these magic animal capsules for use in a lab. for my purposes, they took a bit too long to open up. they would be fine for entertaining kids at home. words of caution: Many of my student asked what would happen if they would swallow the capsules. i told them not to ingest them because I didn't want calls from their parents telling me they were in the hospital having a zoo removed from their intestines. My 8th graders thought that was funny, but younger children might be tempted.

We use these fun capsules instead of candy for potty training...it has helped tremendously.These came at a great price (12 cards of 12 for $12) - much less expensive than buying them in the grocery store. They are about 2/3 the size (and therefore a little more flimsy) of the more expensive ones but my son either didn't notice or didn't care. All 12 cards were of Safari Animals and not a mix of the four different cards available.The best way to get these to "pop" is to fill the sink with some very hot water (remind young ones to not touch). If the kids are patient, they can wait and watch for the animals to pop out. Otherwise, the adult can gently squeeze the capsules a bit to help them pop faster. This also helps get rid of the yucky, sticky capsule coating.

I use these as kid "prizes" regularly in bath bombs for the tub, and kids never seem to get bored or are disappointed when it's just another foam animal that pops out of the capsule as it melts. :) These work great, and are good for both boys and girls.

too small would be dangerous to any child. Looks too much like candy

they took a long time to pop up an animals.they are very small.Price is great.
