Q: Can you give us dimensions? Our iron is a Silverstar model ES-85 AF Steam Iron; it measures approx 9" from bottom to tip.

The top hat is 9 1/2 in from tip to back. My ironing surface is about 7in. The top hat has a spring that makes it fit tightly even on my iron. I do a lot of hot starching and this has saved me a great deal of aggravation.
