Drill Flip Drive Kit (DW2702), yellow

Recently, I was working on some home repairs. I looked in my rolling tool box, and tool bag for my Craftsman Speed-Lok quick flip. I found the blister pack, but no tool. I own 2 DeWalt 20v cordless drill kits and 1 cordless screwdriver. I checked all 3 bags. Nope. I figured I must've loaned it and never got it back. DeWalt has become a trusted name in my tool arsenal. I quickly ordered this as a replacement. Wow! This, and another DeWalt attachment have quickly become indispensable items in my toolkit. Quality sturdy construction from a trusted name means these won't be let outta my sight. Thank You DeWalt! You really really deliver! Highly Highly Recommend!

Good quialty

An actual time-saving device! Enables quick swap of countersink and screwdriver bits, especially handy for work that is already off the work bench [for me so far, this includes cabinet ledgers, shelf supports, door hinges, etc.] It comes with a custom DeWalt countersink bit [replaceable $7USD] and a short Phillips head screwdriver bit with a standard hex [replaceable $5USD a dozen]. They are holding up just fine, but I'd recommend not storing this tool with the countersink bit exposed, you could break it off. The quick release is a bit counter-intuitive, as it releases in the opposite direction that I thought it would. There is no ability to modify the maximum depth of the countersink bit, but I suppose you could buy a tiny collar for the countersink bit. I use masking tape, you do you. I bought version with a #10 countersink bit. I do not know if you can swap out with other sizes [#6 or #8 countersink bits], but it looks like there is room in the body of the for longer/thinner sizes.

Lasted one project then the shank gets stuck on the drive side and won’t lock in on the drill side. The material wears out in short time and the tool becomes a hassle to use. Would be great if lasted. This happened to 2 different units.

The bit got jammed on the first project. Very poor quality.

These work in the beginning BUT the unit fails after a short time; it is not for the commercial contractor... Please help me fix these things....i have 5 of them and they all lose their ability to properly "seat" the drill/bit. In other words, if you are on a ladder, and you pull the unit out of the hole, guaranteed the bit will fall out of its holder and fall to the ground. WTF...why hasn't Dewalt come up with a fix??? these things are great until they suck !

The tool does work as described, but as one reviewer noted, it is quite bulky. As with all countersinks that use set screws, the set screws often loosen up and require tightening. I personally found it to not be as useful as I had hoped and went back to using separate drills for drilling and driving. Perhaps the manufacturer could improve this device by making it more compact and improving the bit lock feature to be a more positive lock. I found that I had to hold down the locking feature while drilling because I often experienced the lock feature coming loose while in operation. The tool IS high quality if you can live with these shortcomings.

This is the perfect way to drill a hole then drive a screw. Switching from drilling to driving a screw is very simple and very fast! Unless you have a pair of power drills, this is the way to go.
