Very sturdy, nice long handles
We bought this carrier for a short Southwest flight to Las Vegas. I wouldn't use this for anything longer than 2 hours. My puppy (chihuahua/poodle mix, 7lbs) has long legs, but he's able to lay down inside comfortably. I like that it's compact and has a zipped pocket in the back. It was nice to carry this when we went places because it's not so obvious that there's a dog inside, and it does not take up a lot of space. We took him to four restaurants in Vegas - two with outside patios that allowed dogs to be outside, and two inside where they let us bring him in if we didn't let him out of the carrier. As for traveling with this, it's tough to slip over a luggage trolley handle if you have stuff in that pocket. Again, I would go for a more rectangular pet carrier for long haul flights, to give my puppy more space. I had to use a collar to hook on his treats and poop bag carrier to one of the handles.

Stylish bag with a couple of flaws
Overall I like this bag. But here are the cons and pros. Yes I am doing cons first.Cons: In the photo it looks like there is an opening on the end of the bag. It is actually just a pocket. That means you can't coax your pet into the bag with treats. You always have to lift your pet in and out of the top. Next, the side has two pockets but for some reason the larger pocket is not closed at the bottom. It's hard to explain, but basically it's not really a pocket so much as a sleeve or tunnel where your things can and will fall out the bottom. I examined it closely and it is definitely designed that way with reinforced stitching on each side of an open bottom hole - mine is not broken. Why is it like this? I have no idea. Maybe the designer knows something about functional pet carriers I don't.Pros: I do love the green color and the overall look of the bag. Next, there is a removable tray for the bottom that is easy to clean. The size is also perfect for my 3 pound bunny. He doesn't like riding in any carrier, but this worked to take him to and from the vet so far. Finally, one day I may take it on an airplane and it is the right size for carry on.

Good quality. May not be good for first time traveling pets.
I did read a review before I purchased about not being able to see through the mesh. I didn't think it would be an issue, however it really is if you have a pet with little airline travel experience. If this is the case, I would recommend purchasing a bag with good visibility into the bag, at least from above. I found myself constantly having to unzip a little to check on my chihuahua. That is the only complaint I have about this bag. I have an 8 lb long hair chihuahua who fit perfectly into this bag, it was just the right size for him. Quality of the bag is great. It fits well under the airplane seat, however you do have to push down on the top about an inch to make it fit properly.

Great pet carrier by reputable brand.
So far so good! I did a lot of research before ordering. This meets the airline requirements should I ever need to travel with my cat. The size is good. She doesn't have a whole lot of room to move around but since my cat likes being confined it's not a big deal. There is mesh on 3 sides so that your pet can see out but it has some sort of privacy screening so that people can't see in and see what you're carrying. I choose this brand due to their reputation and the quality of this bag is indeed great. It has good structure and doesn't cave in under your pets weight. The fact that it comes in lime green was a bonus. My cat is now 7.2 lbs and she still fits in it just fine and it works great for taking her to the vet and on road trips as well.

Thoughtfully designed pet carrier
I researched a lot of bags, and was worried about the size and fit -- for my dog and under the seat of a SW Airlines plane. It was a perfect fit all around! My dog is a rescued chi-weenie, about 9 pounds, and he fit in the bag just fine. It was a little small, but he could turn himself around if he really needed to. And the bag slid right under the seat, without having to turn it on its side.I love the bag's design -- nobody knew I had a dog inside unless I let his head poke out the top zipper. I loved the top zipper as it made for easy in/out and didn't scare him as I didn't have to shove him in the bag face-first. The mesh panels give him air and a nice view out, and nobody else can see in. (I wish they had mesh panels on all four sides though.) There were pockets for his leash and treats, and one for me to quickly stash my paperwork. I love it!

Wonderful small pet travel bag
I love this bag. I bought it last month so I could transport my rabbit via airplane from Tampa to San Francisco. My 8 pound rabbit had enough room to turn around, stand up, and have tantrums in the bag. I knew he was not going to enjoy the 12 hour journey, but I think this bag made him a little happier. It has a sturdy bottom, soft sides, and two sides that he could see out of and get ventilation. I liked the bag for this trip because it fit comfortably on my shoulder and held my iPad in the side pocket. It also fit under the seat and held up very well from him trying to escape... I don't notice anything wrong after all of his digging and chewing.Excellent bag. I'd recommend it to anybody taking a rabbit on an airplane (btw I think United is the only airline that allows rabbits to come on planes).

worked just fine
This bag was fine for my pom, she could stand and turn around no problem. She scratched at and chewed at the mesh screens and they held up, so I was impressed with that. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the side window doesn't zip, and it would have been nice to be able to give treats to her through there, instead of the top, because the flight attendant kept hassling me about unzipping it. ( I had to pull it out from under the seat.) Otherwise, very well made, nice color, and doesn't look at all like a dog would be in it. If she didn't bark, no one would know.
