No. There are no additives to the sponge /scrubber for cleaning. You use your own cleaning supplies and dish detergents.

Q: Does the scrub mommy contain plastic?

Not sure but it seems to me it could.

Q: Does the sponge scratch Quartz Counters & Appliances?

The sponge (softer side) used gently should not scratch but the rougher side would scratch. I use on my laminate counter and my refrigerator but not my ceramic stove top.
