Q: I need to get rid of HDCP so that I can convert HDMI to SDI properly - will this work?

Bought one of these Dec '17 and YES it does strip HDCP from my cable box. At first it didn't--blue screen on my Hauppage PVR 2 , even when I had an HDCP compliant TV attached to the 2nd output. So then I just swapped the 2 output cables, and magically it started working! I then swapped them back, and it still worked! Seems a little flaky, but whatever.

Q: I just ordered this product from J&R. Will this bypass HDCP so I can record with Elgato Game Capture on PS4?

Yes it will bypass the HDPC on your PS4 , cable box, and Roku. It will also let you record with Elgato game capture HD and HD60 S. I'm currently using both Elgato game captures with two View HD 1x2 splitters.

If both displays can support the same video signal from that PC, then both displays will have the SAME picture at the same time.
