This Latin translation of "Wimpy Kid" is a great resource for Latin learners trying to improve their knowledge of the language.Warning, though: Many of the words you learn won't be too helpful for reading Cicero.But that said, it's a lot of fun. Not all the classics authors, for all their greatness, by far afford that kind of pleasure.

This book was the next phase of a new tradion. I accidentally purchased the Scots translation thinking it was a different installment. Now we purchase the foreign translations for fun. My son likes comparing the different languages and enjoys the translations of certain Diary terms.

Gave to a friend who speaks Latin. Looks the same as a normal wimpy kid book, just in Latin. She loved it!

If you are learning Latin or already know Latin you will enjoy this book. What I loved about it the most is its down to earth every day conversations and story, unlike more complementary books. Also if you are just starting off I suggest you also grab a copy of Lingua Latina by Hans Orberg.

A fun Latin read. Ever wanted to know how to toss around one word putdowns? A middle school boys' book will indeed fit the bill. If you liked the English version, the Latin version will definitely help improve your Latin.

Can’t read Latin. I bought it for its meme value.

I really wanted to like this because 1) it is in Latin, 2) it is not Caesar, 3) it was a gift, and 4) I wanted to be able to recommend it to children who want to read Latin. But the story is crude and the Latin, while making it interesting to read, does not improve the story. The main character is vulgar. If you want to encourage a child to be revolting, this is a good book to read. If you just want to inspire a child to read Latin, Fabulae Aesopi is good; Harrius Potter also inspires, but the Latin is harder. If a child has already read the English version of Wimpy Kid the harm is already done; at least the Latin will be educational.
