Great information, bad format.
The contents of the book are very thorough; if you are taking a NACE coatings exam, it is a "must read." It covers a wide variety of coating materials, techniques, and historical perspectives. It really delves into the mechanics of how coatings work, what best practices are, and why we do the things we do when coating. There are several germane and helpful photographs, some of which provide interesting insight into how testing and coating practices have changed over time. They even include photographs of more recent technologies. My problem with this book is its readability. There are several typographical errors that at times cause confusion and slow down reading speed. The pages are of sufficiently high gloss as to cause eye strain, due to glare in an office environment. Finally, the column width is 7 1/4", causing difficulty when scanning to the next line. I have been using a ruler to help me read it. If they come out with a fourth edition, hopefully they will change the format and paper type.
