good shoe tree
These are well crafted and do the job. Since the online description doesn't have the full size chart, I am uploading the image from the package.

Not packaged well / product was damaged
Originally they were set to arrive on Thursday, then it changed to Sunday. When they finally got here, the wood was dinged/dented and the metal bar connecting the heel & toe was scratched up. Also, on the underside of the trees it was chipped, with small chunks missing; looks as though they've been used. Now in contrast, I ordered a pair of Stratton shoe trees at the same time (which arrived 3 days earlier). And when they arrived they were smooth all over, wrapped in tissue paper inside the box AND had a great strong cedar smell... everything these did not have! Dont know if amazon or Allen Edmonds is to blame, but what I do know is that there was a big difference between the Allen edmonds (sold by Amazon) and the Strattons (sold by Stratton); Will not purchase again!

Absolutely perfect
I recently purchased my first pair of very high-quality men's dress shoes and was informed that I should use shoe trees to help maintain my 400$ shoes in tip-top condition. According to the internet, Allan Edmonds shoe trees are among the best, and I am completely satisfied with the quality, workmanship, and fitment of my shoe trees. Shipping was very prompt, nicely packaged, and the smell of cedar upon opening the box was a nice aromatic surprise. The shoe trees fit into my shoes perfectly and I believe I will be very happy with my purchase.

Who makes a video for shoe trees??
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. YOU: Really, you made a video?ME: I did.YOU: Why?ME: Because I can.Shoe trees are simple. They keep the form of your shoe, suck up damaging moisture, and leave a nice smell. The invention has not changed much over the years.PROS: Strong cedar smell and a solid design. Great price and has Prime shipping.CONS: None unless you wait too long and mistreat your shoes! Why spend a hundred (or more) dollars on nice shoes then slack on upkeep?I needed a few more shoe trees because I have purchased more shoes and my only shoe tree (with a cameo appearance in the video) had lost its smell. These shoe trees are notable because the ends have a hook instead of a string and they have the split toe design. I am indifferent with the hook. The split toe is nice because the shoe trees can be inserted into a variety of shoes. I have a pair of loafers that are shorter but wider than the shoes in the video and this shoe tree fits fine (a little better than my older split toe shoe tree).Initially, I picked up two sets. I was pleased enough that I ordered another two pairs.UPDATE 11/2013: Hmmm...you wonder, how does that nice cedar wood smell after six months in your shoes? There is still a faint cedar smell (nowhere near as strong as when they arrived but it's still there). I rotate between wearing two main pairs of dress shoes and another less formal pair (worn no more than once a week). A combination of these shoe trees, regular shining, and the rotation has kept my shoes in pretty nice condition. I'm not easy on my shoes---I walk between 30-60 minutes each day between work and home (I'm in a walkable urban area) and I have put new soles on all 3 pairs of shoes. At the start of this year, I thought I would need several new pairs of shoes. I tend to think these shoe trees saved my dress shoes by returning their form, removing some creases, and extending their lifetimes. Maybe it's just because I started taking better care of the shoes. Either way, don't need to buy new ones too soon so I'm happy!UPDATE 1/2013: I have been meaning to try out the sanding trick and update this post (thanks to the commenters!). Sanding works a little. The smell is (faintly) better but it is not nearly as strong as when the shoe trees first arrived. Perhaps the products had a cedar oil sprinkled on them initially. One set of them still smell better (without being sanded) than the others (that have been sanded) so it could also be hit or miss on the item. Regardless, the shoe trees are serving their main purpose of absorbing moisture and maintaining the form of the shoes to reduce wrinkles. For that, I remain happy!

Wooden shoe trees are the way to go.
I bought these shoe trees for my common projects after reading that many owners used shoe trees to extend the lives of their shoes.I usually brush my shoes lightly with a little water if there are marks from wearing, dry them off and wait around 10 mins before installing the shoe tree. I have not noticed any significant creases since wearing my shoes 3-4 times a week.Overall these do what they are supposed to although they run a little wide and are a bit expensive- the same week I got these in the mail I saw some almost identical ones at the nordstrom mens shoe department for around $12.Imo $10-20 is still a small price to pay for maintaining $300+ leather shoes in great condition for years to come.

Decent Shoe Tree
Better options out there. I would recommend the Cedarfresh premium shoe tries. The Cedarfresh has a premium spring-loaded toe that forms to the size and the toe of the shoe without creasing. These lack that feature and cause creasing. They do their job and allow shoes to properly dry out and not lose their shape, but there are better options out there.

Value, Quality and Fit...exactly what a well crafted shoe tree should be!
Received in perfectly new condition. Fits sizes 8-11 Medium to Wide width. Opened the boxes (received two pairs) and the cedar scent hits the nose immediately. Well crafted and better than my Bostonian and Florsheim provided shoe trees. Easily inserted into my dress shoes and driver style shoes...could see them mold the shape perfectly. I was so impressed, I ordered four additional pairs (one pair of trees per order). I highly recommend for the value, quality and fit as designed.

good quality with a nice cedar smell
I got these to go with my AE shoes and they work great. yes, I have some of the cheaper ones but for just a couple dollars more these are an easy upgrade. They have a very pleasant cedar smell unlike the cheaper ones I've got (which have almost no cedar smell at all). I was a little concerned about the split rod design as I've never seen that used before but it actually works out quite well. I have no idea why it's done like that but it seems to work just fine.

Just ok
They are just ok for a size 9 shoe. Bit bigger would have been beeter. Not as sturdy as they look in the photograph.

Excellent shoe tree
Great shoe tree. Normally buy the Woodlore Combo shoe tree (who is the OEM maker for AE and others) but Amazon was out of stock. So, got the AE shoe trees instead. One of the best for this style and price bracket.

Just ok
Ordered the mediums for my size 10 shoes per the sizing guide and they just fit, but I probably could have ordered the large. They don't seem to fit all the way to the toes of the shoes, and they're a bit flimsy compared to other brands of shoe trees I have purchased. Not really what I expected from Allen Edmonds but will use them nonetheless and see how they work over time.
