ExpertPower2 x 18v 1500mAh Li-ion Battery for Hitachi BCL1815 EBM1830

This is for a home use drill that gets used once a month or less. From the first charge one of the batteries would stop working while under load and only work for a very light load use. It quit working after a few months. The other battery quit working after 10 months and a handful of uses. I'd guess out of the two batteries I bought I used the drill 6 times before they quit working. I kept them off of the charger and charged them once a month or so.

Shipped quickly. Charged it with my original charging unit. Slapped it in my drill motor and it worked great. Thinking about ordering another.Follow up.... I put the battery pack in my circular saw and it would only run for 1 second. Tried the reciprocating saw with the same result.I returned the battery to the vendor and they quickly replaced it. Unfortunately the replacement ran my drill and flashlight just fine but could not power my saws. I return the replacement for a refund.I will say the company wash very responsive and I had a very good experience working with them.

This is the second time I have purchased an aftermarket battery for my cordless Hitachi tools. They both failed in short time. Probably should have paid full price for Hitachi, but even the Hitachi batteries seem to fail quicker than other reputable brands.

Battery evals can only be done a year post purchase, since they may or may not continue to charge. These are billed as new, but mine say reconditioned. Still, for 2 batteries, if they work for a year or more, it's a deal. Will let you know.

I bought two batteries. They charged for about 10 minutes and the indicator showed that charging was complete on Hitachi charger but the batteries only lasted about 1 minute of use. I thought it was my charger so I bought PowerExpert charger for these batteries and it charged both batteries for about 10 minutes and the indicator showed charging complete but batteries lasted about 1 minute of use. I am requesting a return of both batteries and charger.

It's hard to give an accurate review on this type of product, since how long they last is the probably the most important characteristic of a battery. They charged and are working as expected. The price is great for these, we'll just have to wait and see. They come with a warranty, but you never know how easy it will be to take advantage of that, if needed.

Excellent replacement battery for Hitachi drill. Charges well, lasts every bit as long as the OE original. I've had it for months now and wish I had bought 2.

This battery would not charge with my original Hitachi 18v charger. Ended up having to buy a different charger also. Haven’t used the battery enough to give a reasonable review on its life or longevity.
