Not very well made
I bought the item to replace a stainless steel one I had previously, when I changed my sinks and work top. It looked great when the plumber had fitted it to my smaller sink but only 3 weeks later the black coating has started to chip and flake off. It has hardly had any use and has not suffered any impacts. I wish I had kept the stainless steel one!!

Looked great at first but in less than 3 months the black finish has flaked off in several places so now looks terrible.

A good price for a hard to find (locally) item. The finish matched our new brushed stainless sink beautifully. Quick delivery.

Matte Black finished only lasted about a year before the black finish started chipping off. We are very gentle with all of our things and do not use harsh chemicals. There is a metal to painting bonding issue with the product I received. I am disappointed because to replace, I need to hire a plumber, stay home for a day, etc. Insinkerator Company would you like to compensate me for plumbing invoice, cost of flange, and loss of work day? Probably not.

Buyer Beware!!! Awful. It started to peel in two weeks and no harsh chemicals were used. The response I received in addition to the advice not to use harsh chemicals was, “Please note that we're unable to offer a refund, as this accessory does not come with a warranty. This cosmetic issue does not affect the performance of your disposer.” Do not buy this. I wish there zero rating.
