Great product
Effective. Be careful, don't let your cats play with it. Put it inside the closet and close the door. Will keep all moth away. I use them every 3 to 4 months, put a whole package in the closets, they evaporate in a couple of weeks, and with that I know for 3 or 4 months I won't have any problems.

EXACTLY WHAT I EXPECTED
They came fast, packaged well and they are quiet pungent which is what I wanted as I have heard many times they can repel squirrels. I have a destructive squirrel that lives in my yard and short of having him killed or paying 375.00 to have him trapped and taken away I decided to try the moth balls. The left overs went into my bedroom closet as since mid-winter I've had problems with small moths. The more I kill the more that come as I only see one at a time and after killing one it seems to be replaced by another. I haven't seen the moths in the past few days since putting them in my closet and I haven't seen the squirrel digging in my potted plants but, sometimes he disappears for a few days at the time. I'll see what happens. I don't know that much about moth balls but, these guys surely do have a strong smell.

These moth balls work great in our insect cases
These moth balls work great in our insect cases. This product protects the pinned insects from tiny little creatures that eat, lay eggs, and destroy your collection. Moth balls were packaged very well and arrived intact. These are very strong smelling. Great product.

Melt away like ice cubes in the summer sun.
Mothballs used to last a long time. These evaporate in 1/4 of the time. So the cost per hour of effective use is huge, compared the old mothballs I remember as a kid. Just like Cheerios or McDonald's French Fries - utterly debased. Filled with air. This is the hidden inflation we consumers face every day. Sad. Very sad, Hope the old mothballs will reappear. If someone makes them, with 4x the lifetime, then the alert consumers will move from this debased product and pay more for the long-lived product. Meantime, we are disappointed. Very disappointed.

Protection for woolens
I don't particularly like "new and improved" and "for your safety" when it comes to compromising function. These are the real thing. Instead of "asking" moths and larvae to leave your wardrobe alone, these things kill 'em all without mercy. This chemical replaced the older "naphthalene" chemical that was flammable. Both seem to work the same - they turn into a gas directly to fumigate whatever's nearby. Remember to enclose them with your fabrics in an air-tight container. Also, dreadfully important: Do not use the old and the new types of mothballs together because the two different fumigating gases combine into a corrosive liquid that will literally destroy your fabrics worse than a winter of moths.

I bought these as a roach deterrent. Seems really effective. When the box arrived, I opened it and the bag inside was open with balls rolling loose, just as other reviewers have said. I don't really care, I expected them to smell- they're moth balls.

Perfect to put under the vehicle when parked in porcupine country
I use this under my truck when parked while on a backpacking trip in porcupine country to keep critters from deciding the radiator hoses smell tasty.
