Not practical for EDC.
So ultimately I wanted to carry at home with comfort. I rarely ever wear jeans when I'm at home relaxing so I wanted to be able to have a holster that didnt require a belt. This vertical holster was going to be the best bet for what I wanted. However, it didnt really deliver. Sure I can carry it at home but the dang thing is incredibly uncomfortable over time. The entire rig is made up of adjustable straps and buckles and velcro which is great for custom fitting I'll tell you what, but it does make it look really really ugly and sloppy. It took me literally a week to fully adjust everything to my liking. It takes a lot of trial and error and I found that right when i thought it was perfect, it just wasnt comfortable a couple minutes later. So expect to be tugging and adjusting this thing until you find the right fit. The way the straps work is that it loops around your belt. I did not know that. So what I ended up doing is just fastening some light duty suspender clips to the loops so they can clamp onto anything (my case my gym shorts which works out perfectly). The holster itself is half decent. It took me just as long to find the sweet spot for my Smith and Wesson SD40VE. Sure it fits like a glove now but it took a very long time and again, a lot of trial and error to snug it around my firearm. Would I buy this rig again for my purpose? No. If You're looking to edc at the home with this because you might think it's comfortable, look elsewhere or save up some money for a Remora holster. Oh and another thing, my firearm fully loaded gets pretty darn heavy after wearing it a couple of hours and the rig isn't designed (or im sure it isn't designed) for heavy firearms because the dang rig tends to slouch on that side where you're carrying and after a day or two, you get a kink in your neck. At least that's my experience with this rig. I'm sure this rig would be perfect for people who shoot airsoft but it ain't practical for real firearms.

This holster will get you killed.
I purchased this as a prop for a web series. The gun were using is a blank firing prop 1911 with Streamlight TLR-2.I usually like UTG products. Their soft goods are cheap, reasonably well made, and have a tacti-cool look that's perfect for a low budget film. Unfortunately, their vertical shoulder holster has been nothing but problems. It's difficult to adjust, and doesn't hold the gun securely. The gun sometimes falls out of the holster from normal movement, and is guaranteed to fall out during basic stunts. The holster can be adjusted tight enough to hold the pistol, but then it's too tight and the pistol can't be drawn. We can work around this using the magic of editing, but continuous shots are impossible. We can't go from running or rolling to a pistol draw in one take. The gun either falls out or can't be drawn at all. And as mentioned earlier, normal movement, like walking or bending down, has caused the gun to fall out of the holster. The pistol seems to sit too high in the holster causing it to lean forward and slide out from under the mess of a "retention" strap. The holster can be adjusted so that the gun sits lower in it, then the higher of the 2 tension straps can be tightened so that it creates a pocket around the light. The gun can't be drawn without loosening that strap but at least it doesn't fall out. Also, lowering the gun like this causes the holster to cover a portion of the grip, making it harder to grasp. In this configuration, the holster still wants to tip forward because the shoulder strap attachment points are too low and can't be moved. To draw the gun, the "retention" strap should be un-snapped by first removing the Velcro cover, then sliding you thumb between the 2 halves of the snap and separating them. Usually the gun slides right out from under this strap so undoing it may not be necessary depending on your pistol. Another issue is that the shoulder strap connects to the wrong side of the holster. It should be placed between the holster and your body, but it's permanently stitched so that the holster fits between the strap and your body. This causes the strap to cross the grip of the gun, making the gun harder to grab and draw, while still not preventing the pistol from falling out of the holster. The magazine carrier seems well made, but it's large. Extended mags will fit, and so will some curved ones. Unfortunately, standard mags, be it single or double stacked, will fall out as soon as the retention flap is opened. A good mag carrier will place some tension on the magazines to prevent them from falling out if the flap is accidentally opened, or if a person needs to reposition their hand to draw the magazine after opening the carrier for a reload.Overall, this is a nightmarish piece of kit that we have decided to give up on for this film, and I believe that if someone were to use this for actual defensive carry, this holster could get them killed.

Stop the Production Line, Redesign, and then it will be a good product
PROS- 1.) heavy duty construction - very similar to military grade items I was issued prior to combat 2.)price lowCONS- 1.) poor design - says fully adjustable but it is not - some attachment points are permanent sewed on - bad especially on the Holster portion.2.) Size will not fit a lot of adult males - I am not much above average in size 5'9" & 200 pounds in good shape and fully extended straps this is still too small even just wearing a T shirt much less any other kind of gear or warmer shirts fatigues shirts etc. 3.)The adjustment straps are just not long enough.Comment- This should be completely redesigned with all Velcro and or snap attach points and longer straps also add some elastic at certain points and not just one place. This Item as is would be great for Jr High/High school kids playing paint ball. For LEO's or Military or adult shooters it is pretty much completely useless.

Comfortable straps, but holster is extremely problematic
The shoulder straps are comfortable and have a lot of adjustment, but the holster itself has issues. The snap is cumbersome to undo which makes it difficult to draw the firearm. The holster attaches to the shoulder straps at two places. One on the rail side of the holster, and the other on the outboard side by the trigger guard. The outboard straps come up over the back of the pistol grip and pins the firearm against your side, making it incredibly difficult to get you hand on the grip to draw the weapon. Also, the sights of my gun get snagged on the stitching inside the holster making it difficult to stow the weapon and impossible to draw the weapon quickly. It does hold the gun securely, but that's about it.I would not recommend this holster if you are carrying for personal protection. Drawing my weapon out of this holster is not easy or smooth, which, in my opinion, disqualifies this holster for concealed carry.

Very well made
The quality of the holster is very well made and put together. It fits a Glock 17 and CZ P10. It also fits my pistol when I have a laser and torch attached. My only complaint is if you lean forward for example to pick up something on the floor the pistol tends to fall out of the holster and no amount of adjustment seems to correct this. I can't complain about the quality however.

shoulder holster
This wil carry out its purpose .not bad item however if your not wearing a shirt the nylon cross adjustable strap will chafe on your lower neck if worn over a tea shirt top.adjustments best require a assistant to fit correctly as it can be frustrating to adjust yourself .
