No regrets! Had over a year (now 3yrs)
9/29/19. Still using it and loving it.No regrets in buying one; had over a year and still use it to make mash potatoes. there is no step that is eliminated in a normal potato process, but this one device can do it all. Boil, mix, serve. no worries about overcooking, finding a colander, finding a mixter. turn the timer on for 30 to 40 minutes and put some milk and butter in once it's completed.The only negative is that the instructions say after 2 pounds of potatoes and I think that's the max limit. I have a large family and it would be nice to cook 3 pounds.

The Steam & Mash does everything it says it will do...East to set up and clean...Met all of my expectations...Unfortunately the beaters were missing when I received the machine but the sender got the missing beaters to us promptly...

This thing is awesome! It's basically a steamer with two beaters inside. So you fill the bottom reservoir with water, then fill the top bowl about halfway with cubed raw potatoes, then turn the timer to 45 minutes. It will steam the potatoes, then at the end f the 45 minutes, the beaters will turn on and mash them. Then you can lift the lid and add butter, milk, sour cream, salt, pepper, whatever else you want..... then press the mix button and it mixes it all together for you. Makes cooking mashed potatoes so easy! Love it!

I bought a Steam N Mash for myself in '06 or '07, loved it so much I bought one for my daughter. They are wonderful!!

You won't be disppointed
I've always been a little leery of these types of appliances that claim they will make my life easier in the kitchen. All the ones I have bought in the past have been a disappointment. But when I saw what this one was capable of, I just had to give it a try. I am so glad I did! It really has lived up to it's claims and performs great. I mainly bought it for it's mashed potato making and have been really happy with the result (my family loves mashed potatoes, but I didn't like the hassle of making them before), but I'm also finding it great for steaming my vegetables.If you are looking for a helping hand in the kitchen, especially when it comes to making consistently good mashed potatoes, I don't think you can go wrong with this beauty. If my family loves it, yours will too!

I love this machine!!! I am a very healthy eater, so I eat alot of veggies. I also steam alot of foods. I had a normal steamer until I saw this product. Not only does it steams, it makes mashed potatoes!! I LOVE mashed potatoes! It makes it easily and with no hassle. I am also surprised how easy it is to put together and to clean. The potatoes come out fantastic!! The only thing is you have to make a fair amount, not just for 1 person, because the container is larger. But it is easy to store and reheat. If you are in the market for a steamer, or if you are a health nut, BUY this steamer!!! It is more versatile than other steamers!!

Absolutely awesome item. I bought one of these when they were still offered in stores near us and used it weekly for several years. It just makes making mashed potatoes so easy. Fill water in the bottom reservoir and fill the top container with about 1/2 to 3/4 quartered potatoes (may need to cube them if using extremely large potatoes), then set it to between 45 and 55 minutes and let it steam them to perfection. Once it's done steaming them it will start up the beater arm and turn them into mashed potatoes. Once it's done beating them remove the top, and add cream/milk, butter or any seasoning you want and turn on the beaters manually to finish up the mashed potatoes.You don't even need to peel your potatoes if you don't want to, which most of the time I don't peel my potatoes first, though after it's done I will pull out any really really large pieces of skin.I gave mine away to a local thrift store when I moved homes but am shopping for another one now.
