Great for replace
I had a broken screen so I replaced it, during the process I ripped the ribbon that controls the ear piece, the Face ID and the sensor proximity (basically the chip which makes the screen change brightness according to outside outside lighting).So I bought this chip and it did get my proximity and ear piece back and running but my Face ID still doesn’t work. From what I read online that would mean some soldering to remove your old chip and solder into this chip that’s too much for me so this plug and play chip only works to fix earpiece speaker and proximity sensor which is good enough for me I’m happy I atleast got that back. XS Max

DOES NOT WORK
This item is made for the IPHONE XS Max it fits in the phone but does not work as the facial recognition still does not work after installation and phone started overheating so removed it and put faulty sensor back in so phone stopped overheating.

My phone now has a speaker & works BUT without Face ID =(
I installed this item and yes, it fits and the speaker works. The facial recognition however does not. I needed a replacement screen/digitizer & my Face Id/Speaker module was broken after as well. I needed my phone to work and yes, it now works. I will NOT say it works as good as new as I lost the ability to use Face ID =( Easy to install? yes. Great value? nah
