Exactly as described, this set is has a solid and quality feel. The smart finish of the handles and base will add to any fireplace. I use mine on a multi-fuel stove, and the toolset seems well chosen. All the handles are attached with proper threaded fittings, and you even are supplied with two extra locking nuts in case you'll need them later. Although heavy and solid, the individual tools are easy to use. The shafts are a good size, so you can tend or sweep around the fire without getting burned. The poker especially, with the hooked end, is extremely handy. I'd have liked "claw" extensions on the tongs for picking and repositioning coal briquettes easily, but that's a small quibble, and I think these tongs will still be useful. All in all, a very important addition to your woodstove, open fireplace or multifuel stove.

So much choice online and difficult to judge which one is best. I was looking for a solid-looking, reasonably priced tool set and was really pleased with the product. it looks really good, no loosely joined components and very easy to assemble. One of my issues with my previous set was the continual need to tighten the connected parts (I wouldn't call them moving parts, but they may as well have been). The new ones look well made and I don't see components that might work loose. Very impressed and pleased.

It is well made set and looks great , the brush head is not very good quality lots of bristles fell out on first use hopefully it will settle maybe a manufacturing issue ,I would rather buy a replacement brush than send the whole set back as it would be less hassle .

After almost burning my right hand, I decided it was time I purchase a 5 piece Fireplace Set. It arrived a day earlier than expected, I'm not complaining. Each item was individually packed in a very sturdy box. Very easy to assemble, completed in 5 minutes. The stand looks very sturdy and the tools are perfect, not too heavy. They look quite elegant with their silver handles. Have used them once for my woodburner, very easy to clean. So far so good. We all want a bargin, I would say for the quality they are a good buy.
