Great Price. They are not exactly the same as the originals but I believe they are even better.

it comes in two parts that fit side by side in your swamp cooler. the directions were not thorough to me, but i watched another review which instructed me on which direction to install them. if installed backwards, the air flow is not good and thus, won't cool off effectively. they stamped directional arrows on the sides, but it was somewhat faded and hard to read. once installed, they worked well. i did not smell a weird odor when first installed and the swamper turned on....as others smelled. overall i'm satisfied!

These fit my dad's cooler perfectly, including the groove for the PVC water distribution. I used tea tree oil, as recommended by others, and the slightly fishy smell was gone within about 48 hours. Not an problem.

Our original pads were 3 large and 1 smaller had these pads for 6 years. When we received only 2 pads I got worried but these 2 pads fit our unit perfect! Second concern was regarding the smell. Yes it did stink for about 5 hours running it, expected to sleep in our Rv but by shutting down the unit for the night it was ok the next night.

I bought this pad last season from marketplace seller "True Value Hardware Outlet" and am into my second season with them. They are working well and changing the pads made a huge difference in cooling (old pads were almost 6 or 7 years old). What I did this season though is I got one of the $4 cooler pump by-pass kits that hooks to the output of the pump and allow you to trickle a little bit of the water thru the overflow hole so that the water in the cooler changes more often and doesn't build up mineral content and prevents the pads from scaling up so fast. That should make a huge difference in how long these pads last and I'm watering my neighbor's apple trees at the same time! Those are some good apples and with more moisture it should be a good harvest this year... James

The photograph for the product is the exact same one as one for a brand that claims to be made in the USA, so I thought I would receive pads made in the USA. These were made in China. The other ones claimed to be odorless, just as this one advertises itself as odorless. This one did smell for a couple of days, even with multiple water changes using my water clean out pump. That is it for the negative side. The pads fit perfectly and appear to be well-made. They sure do work better than my old ones that were about 10 years old! I do recommend purchasing these, but be prepared for the unpleasant smell. Maybe the USA made ones don't smell as they claim. Maybe you should pay the extra $20 and find out. I am not going to go through the return process to find out as these pads are performing quite well at this point. Advice to sellers: don't hide the ball.

Just needed one piece of styrofoam on the side to snug it up. Perfect fit on top. Never had an evap cooler that used these pads until now. These things cool the air down maybe 15 or 20 degrees when it’s in the mid 80s easy. Would buy again for sure!
