Q: Is this a girl's toy? I see pink and while my grandson loves cats, pink --not so much.

The toy that comes with the Zoomer kitty has pink on it but the Zoomer itself does not. My son is 6 and has no problem playing with his Zoomer. He loves it! He calls it a girl and his Zoomer puppy is a boy :) Except for the little bit of pink on the ball toy in no way is this Zoomer gender specific at all!

Q: How would this be for a non-verbal 10 yr old? Does it react to movements and sounds or just verbal commands?

It responds to movement only it doesnt respond to verbal commands. This woud be ok for a non verbal 10 yr old they will like it.

Q: I read that the cat spoke, can we choose the language ? because i am in france and it is much cheaper with you ! i hesit
