Upgraded Optronics Portable Bluetooth Transmitter Want to enjoy wireless audio reproduction but your TV PC iPod or older non-Bluetooth audio devices won’t support it? Simply add it! The Bluetooth transmitter can be used to stream audio from non-Bluetooth audio sources such as non-Bluetooth TVs or CD players to Bluetooth headphones/speakers. This transmitter is supported to RCA connectors and AUX connectors, therefore, please kindly have a check see whether your audio sources have one of these kinds of jacks. Please note that the adapter should be plugged into the “L&R AUDIO OUT” jack or the “AUX OUT” jack on the audio source but not the “Component IN” jack.NOTE:If the TV does not have the “AUX OUT” jack or the “L&R AUDIO OUT” jack, a headphone jack should also work.If the TV only have a “DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT (OPTICAL)” jack, a convertor is needed or you could choose another model of TaoTronics Bluetooth Transmitters, TT-BA09, which is supported to both aux audio output and optical audio output. Not recommend for streaming live music (while playing guitar, keyboard, electronic drums etc.)What is In the Box 1 x Optronics Wireless Bluetooth Transmitter 1 x USB Charging Cable 1 x 3 5mm Female to 2 RCA Male Cable 1 x User Guide

UPDATED - Figured out how to PAIR! Seems to work, but won't pair to anything?
OK- I am updating my rating to 4 stars. (Still loses a star due to the amount of effort it took for me to pair the device.) First off- the device is small and compact. Once I got it working, I had no problem pairing it with several different types of devices. The biggest test comes in January when I try to use it on a 15 hour flight by plugging it into the airline armrest and trying to transmit the planes movies up to my BT headset. If it works I will let everyone know. Now, for he pairing issue.Tip #1- Ensure that all Bluetooth devices in the area are disconnected and powered off except the one you want to pair. That includes, laptops, desktops, speakers, watches, phones and TV's. Get as far away from them as you can if you are having problems!Tip #2 - What the heck do all those LED's flashes and blinks mean? From what I was sent, I have compiled my own little cheat sheet for anyone who may need it. Here goes:1. Charging mode: solid red LED2. Fully charged: solid red LED goes off3. Power on: press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds when the device is off, and the blue LED will flash three times. If the device has not paired with any devices before the transmitter (should?) enter into pairing mode automatically (blue and red LED flashes alternatively) after turning on. This is a slow flash, not a rapid strobe. If it is very rapid, see #6 below.4. Power off: press and hold the power button for 3 seconds when the device is on, the red LED will flash three times, then it goes off.5. Enter into pairing mode: press the power button for 4-5 seconds when the device is off or press the power button twice after the device turns on, it will go to pairing mode (blue and red LED flashes alternatively) I've never had good luck with this. Again see #6 below. And of course, you have to have the device you want to pair in pairing mode for this step!!6. Clear pairing history: press and hold the power button for 7 seconds until the red and blue LED flash at the same time. OK, here is where it get's tricky. I could never get anything to happen when the LED's go into strobe mode. However, the fix to any problem you may encounter is to hold the power switch in until you get a solid red light. In my opinion, this is the reset mode? Once you get the solid red LED, release the power button, then power down the device per step #4. Restart the transmitter, (step #3) and it should see the device you are trying to pair with? If by chance, the device again starts strobing repeat the instructions here by doing the long press reset.7. Auto pair with the last two connected devices: the transmitter will auto pair with the last two paired devices every time it turns on. The red LED will flash once or twice if the transmitter pairs with the paired devices successfully.8. Standby mode without pairing with any devices: blue LED flashes twice every 5 seconds9. Paired and working mode: blue LED flashes once every 5 seconds10. Low battery mode: red LED flashes three times every minuteI hope this helps!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Well I received the TAO TT-BA01 yesterday. I let it charge up and tried to use it today. The device charged fine. However, I could not get anything to pair with it. In every instance, my Bluetooth devices recognized the device, but it was the TAO itself that never finished the Handshake always flashing a constant Red/Blue LED. The devices I tried included 2 different Bluetooth speakers, a Bluetooth base unit Speaker Phone, and my Samsung Galaxy S8. Nada/Zip. My phone at least had a screen that I could watch it SCAN, find the TT-BA, try to pair, and then fail to connect. I sent an e-mail in to USA support and I will see if I get a timely response and resolution. If not, I can't recommend this product to anyone at this time. If we get it to work, I will adjust my review accordingly.

Really does have low latency, and customer support is outstanding
I purchased this bluetooth apt-x transmitter to use with my band-in-a-box guitar pedal (Digitech Trio +) for practice; I paired it with some apt-x headphones (brand: 1Mii).LATENCY - Latency is low. It takes about 5-10 seconds for the signal to start and then about 30-60 for the latency to minimize. At first, there is a delay; but after a bit of rhythmic strumming it seems to synchronize and the latency becomes pretty much un-noticeable. I am totally satisfied with performance in this regard.SOUND QUALITY - The sound quality is acceptable but not the best. Honestly, I don't know if it is this transmitter, the headphones I am using or both... but there is a little bit of crackly static, almost like the signal is over driven. This is very low and considering the convenience of reducing the headphone cable, I find it an acceptable compromise.BATTERY LIFE - I purchased this in Dec 2019, it has been 4 months and I am finding the battery only lasts about 1-2 hours. I think it was advertised to last about 8 hours. Note: you can leave the unit plugged into USB power as an alternative solution.CUSTOMER SUPPORT - AMAZING! I contacted Tao Tronics about the battery life; I received a quick response. After a few support questions about charging and such, they offered to send a replacement.COMPATIBILITY: This transmitter works well with my aptx headphones although it did not work well with my non-aptx headphones (sienhauser and skullcandy). For reference, the headphones I am using are: 1Mii Long Range Bluetooth 5.0 Headphones with aptx Low Latency, ASIN: B07V4FGLWM. These headphones function well and are very affordable although they are a bit odd in the fit (earcup shape is weird), again they meet my needs and are a good value.SUMMARY - I have tried several cost effective approaches to wireless headphones for guitar and this is the first that has worked for me. My needs and expectations are fully met, I would recommend this transmitter for its value and low latency when using with guitar.

Unreliable to pair with Airplane entertainment system
I was on an airplane where I tried to get this to work with the on-board entertainment system, and my brand new airpods. I couldn't get it to work! I tried my airpods in the case, out of the case, tapping them, holding them near. I gave up and just plugged in a headphone. On the return trip I decided to try again, and this time, somehow it worked.I’ve been on airplanes several times and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Last time I was on an overseas trip and it connected only one ear. When I put the other ear in they both went dead. Had to choose right OR left. Ultimately I lost both and couldn’t connect at all. It’s “hit or miss” with this device. Very frustrating.

UPDATE Poor Connection...Stopped Working!
UPDATE: Stopped working and will no longer connect to our sound bar. Returned for a refund.Successfully got this to pair our LG TV with our Vizio sound bar via bluetooth--making it wireless; but, couldn't get this to pair with our Beats headphones. Our LG TV is mounted in a corner and the plug-ins are in the back, so it restricts the bluetooth connectivity due to it's enclosed location. As a result, it takes a while for the sound bar to connect or find the bluetooth device and there's a lot of static. This could have been resolved if the cables for the plug-ins were a little bit longer so that you can place it in the front or side of the TV for better bluetooth connectivity. 3 stars because it didnt work with our bluetooth headphones and the design flaw.Installation is easy, find Aux plug and USB and you're good to go. One button on the device, so press it until it blinks blue and pair it with your intended device and hopefully it works.
