I've been using it for a couple of years now and it is still my go to vice

I Should have Tried out the vase before I bought it, But I think I will get used to it.
For trying flies I found the base of the vase was too light, not stable enough in my opinion. Also the vice neck or for changing the angle of the vice kept popping loose even though I use the Allen wrench to tighten down on it.

which nicely made. However
I am not sure this device was designed by an engineer. I would be ashamed to put "Made in the USA" label. When I received the vise and tried to tighten the stem the handle detached from the tightening bolt so I had to use pliers to unscrew it. The other handle of the tightening bolt that is supposed tighten the head just fell off when I turned the head in a normal position. Then I realized that the connection of the handles to the bolt had not been thought through and there is nothing that prevents the handle from detaching. I have two M.Sc. one in aeronautic and the other one in computer engineering and just can't imagine how an engineer could design such a handle. Unfortunately, I have already ordered a Regal tying bag ($200) and other accessories from other places and it will be a hassle to return all this junk back. So, I will have to think how to make the connections the handles more robust. The only positive thing about this vise is the base, which nicely made. However, since I just cannot use the vise as it came, I have to give it only one star.
