Vitrelle 6 PIECE Dinner Plates Set Triple Layer Glass and Chip Resistant, Lightweight Round Plates, Portofino

Love these dishes so much. I was sick of my heavy dishes taking up a ton of room. I bought two sets, and you can stack them easily taking up half the space. So easy to load and unload into the dishwasher too. I've had them for quite some time now and they hold up just fine in the dishwasher and do not fade. The pattern is beautiful, and best part is that they're made in the USA! Love love love Corelle!

Great set for parties and all family events, use it for every occasion

These are nice little plates. Let me preface by saying this- If you are looking to buy an extremely nice, weighted, unbreakable set of fine china, you should know to be looking elsewhere than Amazon. Set your standards appropriately based on the price point in which you purchase. Now, these plates are awesome for budget plates. They’re a good enough size for a meal, yet they fit in my cabinet. They are thin, but I have noticed that this actually adds to their durability (in our household) to my recent chips like you get in wide ceramic. They fit nicely into the dishwasher, but don’t slap around and hit other dishes. They are easy to clean by hand. The design on top is indeed raised, so there has been absolutely no fading, peeling, or chipping away. Though we have only had these for 4-6 weeks, they are already my favorite casual plates. We end up doing a load of dishes every day and they have made it this far. All in all, if you want cheap, not ugly, good plates, these are nice.

I love these plates. They're pretty and nearly impossible for my kids to break. They fade a little in the dishwasher, so I sometimes wash by hand to keep them brightly colored.

I am over the thick, heavy, albiet beautiful stoneware that my family constantly chips and breaks. These lightweight plates have a small form factor and stack beautifully. So far no chips after using these form months now with my rough guys. I knock one star off for the quality of the pattern. I wanted something more interesting than just white. From a distance these are fine but close-up the pattern quality leaves something to be desired. I am not sure if it is a limitation of the material or process of creating them, but I wish they would find a way to make different solid or gradient colors if they can't make the prints or patterns look better. Still, I made my decision to trade beauty for functionality and don't regret it. I still have some of my mom's old set of beautiful Japanese china and what has survived of our wedding pfaltzgraff black midnight sun that can fulfill that artistic void. These Corelle plates are a phycial marvel and a functional pleasure to use. I also bought some large white bowls in this brand since you cannot find them in this pattern, but those are also a delight.

I decided to update my dishes and opted to go with the old tried and true Corelle. My last set is already about 10 years old and still look new. The Vitrelle line of dishes have to be the best ever made. I have three kids (now young adults) and my previous set of Vitrelle's survived them and their friends. The dishes are very sturdy and can take a drop. So it was a no brainer to go for the same line of dishes. These did not disappoint. The color is lovely, they are well made and easy to coordinate with pieces from other companies if need be. Love that they are light weight and well made.

I read the negative and positive reviews. I liked the pattern so I decided to buy the 6 Portifino pattern dishes and see for myself. The 6 Portifino pattern dishes were delivered timely and in perfect condition. I carefully inspected each dish and hand washed each one. Fortunately, the 6 Portifino dishes that were sent to me did not contain any of the serious imperfections that appear in the photos posted by others. I think the Portifino pattern is supposed to resemble Italian handmade pottery, which is almost perfect but not intended to be totally perfect because it is handmade. The 6 dishes that I received are as well made and substantial as any of the Corelle or Corning-ware pieces that I own, and I own a lot of them. The 6 Portifino pattern dishes stack neatly and sit flat. The imprint is not rough. It is smooth. The pattern on the 6 dishes sent to me match each other almost exactly. There are some slight variations in the depth of color that (in my opinion) add interest, charm, and a more authentic look to the Portifino pattern. I am very totally satisfied with this purchase.

Love the pattern and love that they are easy to clean. Price was great for what you get and I love that my kids can use them. Can be out in the microwave and dishwasher with no issues or loss of color.
