Great addition to the Robomaster S1
I'm not sure I understand why this controller doesn't come packaged in with every DJI Robomaster S1. It's so necessary for getting the best user experience out of your Robomaster. I'm sure that you're also confused by the fact that the controller only comes with a single analog control stick. It will all make sense once you have the phone inserted, the left stick controls movement and the phone's screen handles the turret's movement. Basically where you look is the direction you drive in. I've found this set up to be both intuitive to use, and easy to master. The controller itself is well built, has decent battery life and has zero input lag. When I ordered mine, it didn't ship with any connection cables so make sure to order a USB A to "whatever your phone takes" cable of around 1.5 feet in length. I use a Samsung Galaxy S10 so it's USB C for me. Also as far as the usb cable, I'd recommend getting a cable with a right angle connector as you'll notice, the phone fits sideways in the controller but the cable routes out the bottom at a weird angle that's guaranteed to destroy regular cables over time. All things considered, you really can't go wrong with this purchase, I'd call it a no-brainer.
