It’s just spice no wheat. I’ve used this for years, I think it’s the best Merquen on the market. Smoky and not too spicy. Authentic.

Q: There is confusion here - the product description does not include the ounces, which is critical information. Is it really 10 oz or 7-8 oz ?

my merquen is about 2 years old from amazon. it is in a square bottle, and it is 10.5 oz. the label looks the same as in this picture.

Q: Is this a 10 oz or 7 oz jar? Previous orders of the food service jar were 10 oz. My most recent order (1/21/18) was only 7 oz. But same price

We work directly with the Etnia, and they have informed us that the 10 oz size food service jar has been discontinued. It is now being replaced with an 8 oz version. The one you have is part of a batch in which the label says 7 oz but is actually really 8 oz. We apologize for any confusion on behalf of the manufacturer.
