Q: Will thes be good for walking on concrete floors all day?

It works for me. When I walk barefoot in the house my tendons hurt by the end of the day. When I wear my shoes with insoles, it is not the case.

Q: Do these inserts take up much volume in the toe area for casual shoes? I have high arches and Spenco has recommended these.

Not too much. They work great in athletic shoes and some low profile shoes and boots, but in a dressier pair of shoes (like pumps) they crowd the toes a bit.

Q: are these also good for pain in the ball of my foot?. my heels and arches aren't quite as bad as the balls of my feet. thanks

Honestly, the best orthotic I've tried and wear six days a week is Powerstep Pinnacle Plus, the red orthotic insole. The Spenco Total Support Max Shoe Insole was just too hard and painful.

Q: I had to cut these to fit my shoe, but left arch and right arch placement are different. can they be returned?

I was able to request a refund after they did not work for me by contacting Amazon. I thought it was appropriate because when I bought them it said satisfaction guaranteed. Best of luck.
